As mothers we are pulled in a million different directions all day, and often part of the night. Between a new baby, homework with the older boys, cooking, cleaning, working, night time nursing, and the countless other hats we wear as mother’s it is no wonder why we are exhausted all the time.
Here are some of my tips to help improve energy in moms:
1.) Create a sleep routine – easier said than done haha! A sleep routine is not only good for you but it is helpful for your kids of all ages. Treat your sleep routine likes your kiddos sleep routine.
2.) Eating protein for breakfast –  Eating some sort of protein first thing in the morning can help you feel a lot more energetic throughout the day.
3.) Drink more water – It is so simple that we forget to do it. But even being slightly dehydrated can cause you to be more lethargic during the day. I recommend drinking half your body weight in ounces of water. For example if you are 140 lbs you should drink 70 ounces of water a day.
4.) Exercise – Which might seem counterintuitive but exercising improves your overall health and gives you more energy. Find time in the morning for a jog or even better consider short and effective workouts on Beachbody On-Demand!
5.) Take a Nap – It is totally okay! A lot of times we use nap time as a time to get caught up on house work or work but sometimes momma just needs a nap!
6.) Go Outside – Breathe some fresh air and enjoy some some rays! It is amazing what if can do for your mood and energy! New underestimate the power of the great outdoors!
