I don’t know about you, but I struggle in all aspects of being healthy. Being healthy is NOT just physical.. it’s also important to be emotionally healthy, mentally healthy, and spiritually healthy! You cannot only be healthy in one area and expect to have a healthy and fulfilling life.

So my goal for myself and others that I help is to be successful in all these areas to have the best, healthiest, happiest, and most fulfilling life they can possibly have! When you are successful in these areas, you will have a sense of peace, comfort, and joy with life!

HOW CAN WE SUCCEED IN THESE AREAS??

Well the first thing I will say is everything I talk about is based on my own personal experience with life. So if I say something you may not like, then I am sorry. Not sorry for saying it, but sorry you don’t agree. We are all entitled to our own opinion, so since this is my blog, I’m going to happily give my opinion here!

  • Being healthy with your Mind:
    • POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT TO YOURSELF AND OTHERS:
      • When you can look in the mirror and give yourself positive talk and encouragement, you are setting yourself up for success!! Just as those who are talking down on themselves are only setting themselves up for failure! If you can set a timer on your phone daily as a reminder to talk to yourself lovingly, your mind will be going in the right direction!
      • Its just as important to talk positive to yourself as it is to talk to others this way. That means, encourage others, even if it takes a little more work and effort. Don’t put others down just because its not YOUR opinion or something you would like or do… Let others do what they want and let them feel the way they want to feel! Do this just as you would expect others to do for you!
  • Being healthy with your Body:
    • TREAT YOUR BODY AS A TEMPLE:
      • I always say, your body is the only place to live in so treat it right! This means, taking just 30 minutes a day to exercise, invest in your health and purchase healthy food, rather than spending more on junk food and fast food that is not going to make you feel good… remember, this is only a temporary fix for your temptations or to fix your emotions (trust me, I struggle too with this)!
      • I know many make the excuse that they don’t have time to workout–> Please understand that EVERYONE has 30 minutes… No matter how many kids, how many 12 hour shifts you work.. this is 4% of your day. Instead of using these excuses as excuses, use them as your reason to be healthy! Be healthy with and for your kids… be healthy so you have more energy during the day and at work so your not complaining your tired and cant get through your day.
  • Being healthy with your Spirit:
    • YOUR FAITH WILL BRING YOU THROUGH ANY HARD TIME:
      • I never grew up putting my faith and God as a priority. To be honest with you, I never thought I needed Him until I was going through my divorce.. I was basically at the point where I could not do the hard things on my own. When I went to my church, I realized God has a bigger and better plan for me and I NEED HIM!
      • When you allow God in your life and the Holy Spirit, you realize you are alive! You realize even if you don’t physically have family or friends around you that support you, you have a God that will love you unconditionally no matter what decision you make in life, no matter what addition you struggle with, no matter what sins you have sinned. You have a non-judging God, a God that does not and will not condemn you based on your past and your mistakes!
      • In order to have faith, you must be willing to accept that you are not alone and life is full of opportunity, despite any bad situation or obstacle that comes your way. How to find this?
        • Well, for me its going to a church that you feel good being in.. and yes, it may take going to a couple to find what YOU love.
        • Listening to music that helps you grow in faith… I love listening to my Christian music with meaning behind it.. It always speaks to me and gets me excited about life and how God works through us! It gets me praying because the words are speaking to me!
        • Listening to audios/podcasts/reading books that are Faith based. Im telling you now, My phone usually has a podcast on, or an audio with Joel Osteen. My opinion he’s positive and inspiring and no one can get hurt from hearing positive words of encouragement to turn your trials and tribulations into a beautiful story of success!! If you never listened, I highly recommend giving him a try! Also, other sermons from churches such as Lifepoint and Newspring are a some of my favorites! On podcast, I love MWF Motivation, Chalene Johnson, ect.. A few that motivate and inspire me and put their faith as a priority!

I hope if you struggle in any of these areas, you can put some of these into practice to help you! If you are using them, be patient and know that results do not happen overnight.. with patience and persistence, you can and will have a great and successful outcome! But this is not something to only do temporarily, its part of your long term journey!
