Journey in progress with LIIFT4

I first have to apologize for being MIA here, but I am going to use the EXCUSE (because that is all it is), that I am trying to get on a schedule and it is not easy to do! As a mom of 3 boys here at home and 1 being a baby that I breastfeed, I feel like I am all over the place! Summer was a lot more difficult with keeping a schedule than I thought it would be! But now that kids are in school, my blog is something I really am working on getting more consistent with! So hopefully you guys can see me here two times a week! Now that I am back, I gotta share all the goods with my journey in progress with LIIFT4!

How is LIIFT4 helping me reach my goals?

LIIFT4 is the most recent home fitness program I have been following! I needed the program SO bad! Since having Josiah 8 months ago, I have STRUGGLED to get back to my pre-baby weight! I mean, it was so easy to lose all but 10 lbs, but the last 10 lbs are the HARDEST to get off! And hearing, “Oh, you are breastfeeding, you will lose it right away” is FALSE! I had such a healthy pregnancy and really was amazed with my body and how great I did at the beginning.  But then all the extra “fluff” just kept me pretty insecure with my appearance.

Being a fitness coach is really helpful with keeping me accountable!  But then I struggled with judging myself and giving myself too high of expectations on what I should look like. So I decided to be proud of how far I came, but stop worrying so much and just to enjoy the journey!

Since I started enjoying the journey more, it is so much more fun! I mean, I am enjoying the workouts, I am enjoying the meals I am making, and I feel like I took so much stress of myself since I quit being so hard on myself!

How is LIIFT4 different than other programs?

LIIFT4 has been by far one of my favorite programs because I LOVE lifting weights, but I also am a huge fan of cardio and HIIT training! I get the best of both worlds! And one more thing, my workouts are only 30-40 minutes, so I am not taking too much time away from my day and kids to get in my workout! Like, ANYONE can do 30-40 minutes a day!

Since I am half way through this program (it is 8 weeks long), I am excited to share I FINALLY got passed my plateau that I have been on for the past 7 months! I feel great, more energy, less cravings, and I sincerely enjoying working out each day and making healthy meals. This lifestyle is so much cheaper than spending more money on eating out and fast food.

Along with LIIFT4, I did finish this part of my journey with a 3 Day Refresh Detox to change my nutrition up and dial it in! It worked and I was able to tighten up, along with losing 2 pounds and 4.5 inches!

Just by looking at my progress, it doesn’t seem like that much of a change, but it really is to me. I was so uncomfortable with the extra “fluffiness”.  Even looking at how my sports bra fits different and my “side boobs” are leaving! #ByeFelicia

I want you to be aware that my progress is NOT all about the looks.  Yes, it is important that I do feel confident in my skin, but the energy and just having the health habits that are sticking feels so good!!

Lets talk nutrition

My nutrition has cleaned up a lot! Again, I was eating out more, and snacking more than I thought I was. Finishing my kids leftovers is a prime example! We do not think it will make much of a difference, but when you have goals to reach and you finish leftovers 3 times a week, it adds up!

Here is my meal plan for this week! We plan 1 cheat meal a week around our family and what we have going on so we can enjoy 1 big cheat together! Then the rest of the week, we are on track and staying strong! Since nutrition is 80% of your results, it’s key to really dial in with your food intake and be aware of everything you eat!

You will also see I currently replace 1 meal a day with Shakeology which is my superfood shake that is my daily fuel for my body. I use it to replace what I crave so I am satisfied throughout the day! I have been doing this for 6 years and this is a HUGE part of my success on my fitness journey! Before using Shakeology, I used to eat ice cream like a mad woman. Now, ice cream isn’t something I even need anymore. It’s crazy what can change when you fuel your body with the right things!

My goal is to help others enjoy foods they eat without feeling like they are in food jail. I know it’s easy to get discouraged when you don’t get to eat everything we want.  So I love to find healthy alternatives so you are still enjoying everything, but you are also reaching your goals!
