New Year’s FitResolution!!

My first post for 2017!!! I guess I really need to make this a good one huh?!?

Ok, so here’s the deal… I am human like every one of you out there! We fail, we make mistakes, we have set backs… but one thing is certain is you will NEVER see me give up when these occur in my life! That goes for my faith, fitness journey, career, my family, and myself! I may lose site of goals at times and have setbacks, but these setbacks will only propel me forward to something great for my future! This goes for YOU too! Every setback will teach us a lesson.. we just have to make the CHOICE to allow it to teach us and help us get to a better place in life!

Now that we are into a new year, I want to share my goals with you all and I am so excited to make improvements in certain areas of my life!!!

My FitResolution is being healthy and fit in many areas in life, NOT just my fitness journey (although is a big one)!

  • I want to be healthy in my faith and walk with the Lord first and foremost. I have given my life to Christ 2 years ago and I have been making steps to walk with God, but can still make improvements! So my goal is to really dig into the Word (Bible), and gain more knowledge, along with actually applying what I am learning. Last year, I started reading the bible and although I did pretty good, I am excited to be more intentional about it.  My fiancé and I started using the podcast DAB (Daily Audio Bible) to get through the Bible in 1 year! This podcast is great and the speaker is very enthusiastic and helps to understand the scriptures more!   • I want to be health and fit physically and mentally! I have a goal of another Figure Competition this year and I am excited to work hard towards this goal! Last year, I let my setbacks hold me back. So I try again!! Here we are! Today is my 1 of competing the 30 day program of Core De Force, which is an MMA type home fitness program where you learn punches, kicks, get in tons of cardio, and work your core and arms/shoulders like crazy! I also kicked off with the 3 day refresh to get the junk out of healthy mom tips, Deidra Penrose, new years resolutions fitness, weight loss new year resolution, new baby weight loss, mom and nurse get healthy, fitness tips, fitness accountability group, fitness support group, beachbody fitness program, core de force home fitness program, home cardio workouts, fitness motivation, fitness inspiration, top beachbody coach PA, elite beachbody coachmy body that I’ve been putting in!  Including my kids will be a huge part of my fitness as well to help them continue learning what a healthy lifestyle is all about!! For me, it is very important to be a
    positive role model to help them early to make good decisions about their health
  • I want to have family time and be more present with them! Having a job that I work from home definitely can make it difficult to separate my family time and my work time. So my mission is to turn off my phone or put it away in my room while I am spending quality time with my boys and family/friends.
  • I am also on a mission to be more productive while working! It’s easy to see squirrels when you work on social media!! There are squirrels EVERYWHERE! You can get caught up in scrolling on Facebook, answering messages when your trying to write a blog post, oh the list can go on!!!

If you have not yet made a resolution…. a resolution to keep not just temporary, but long term, I highly recommend you start making one today!! Make the decision to get consistent in at least 1 area of your life! One area that can and will impact other areas in your life! Without setting a resolution or GOAL, then you do not have a direction to take to get to a destination! Let 2017 be your year to reach big goals and do great things for your life!
