Unicorn Shakeology

Ok, so you may have seen the huge talk on the Unicorn Starbucks drink that people are going crazy over right? Well, I will def say a cheat meal is ok, but people are truly addicted to Starbucks and not always in a good way. The taste may be great for people, it may give them energy, but what about the nutrition? So many of these people will complain and talk about how they are unhealthy, out of shape, and unhappy, but yet, they continue to make choices to drink drinks such as this full of calories, carbs, sugar, and artificial sweeteners and flavors!

So as a fitness coach, my job is to help people find the healthy alternatives so you can still enjoy your food and drinks, but removing the crap that does not help you get closer to your goals, and add in dense nutrition and superfoods and will not leave you feeling guilty!!

So here it is!!!

  • 1/2 scoop vanilla Shakeology
  • 1/2 scoop strawberry Shakeology
  • 1/2 cup fresh blackberries and raspberries
  • 1 tsp natural Peanut Butter
  • 1 squirt sugar free whipped cream
  • 1 tsp sprinkles


  1. With a blender cup, add 4 ice cubes and 4 oz water.
  2. Add 1/2 scoop Vanilla Shakeology.
  3. Add 1 tsp natural peanut butter.
  4. Blend… and set aside in a cup.
  5. Rinse cup and add another 4 ounces water and 4 ice cubes.
  6. Add Strawberry Shakeology and 1/2 cup fresh berries.
  7. Blend….
  8. In a separate cup, add both strawberry and vanilla to one cup, one at a time to separate the colors.
  9. Top off with Whipped cream and sprinkles!
  10. ENJOY!!!!!!

So lets compare really quick…  because this makes a HUGEEEEE difference with the nutrition facts, but also the nutrients that your getting!

Starbucks Unicorn Treat:

  • 450 Calories
  • 80 Carbohydrates
  • 12 grams fat
  • 76 grams sugar

And then we have…

Unicorn Shakeology Treat: FYI… this is a full meal replacement!

  • 290 calories
  • 40 carbs
  • 10 grams fat
  • 14 grams sugar

We can also mention here that Shakeology is full of pre and pro-biotics to help support digestive health and regularity, antioxidants to help fight free radicals and support immune health, superfoods and phytonutrients to support health and vitality, and a great protein blend to help build lean muscle and reduce cravings!

I don’t think Starbucks can beat that one!!

Sweating for the Wedding- Prepping our Wedding In JUST 6 Weeks!

AHHHH another week has gone by and we’re right on track!!

Our first week, Brent and I got our venue picked, our flowers ordered, I got my dress picked out, and we got our photographer picked, and caterer!

This week, we found our DJ, got our Wedding bands, started our marriage counseling!!

Yesterday, we had our Engagement pictures done! Let’s talk about this real quick!! I was so excited to do this because #1. I never had them done before (from my first marriage), and #2. I didn’t think we had time NOR were we putting this in our budget since we only had 6 weeks and wanted to be smart about where our money went for the wedding. 2 weeks ago, a friend tagged me in a post on Facebook about some photo and story contest for couples who are newly engaged and a photographer was going to do a FREE photo shoot for the couple who had the best story (and most likes). I was not going to even give our story because I don’t ever win anything lol…. but since I’m slightly excited about our story and how things have worked with Brent and I, I decided to give it and a week and a half later, WE WON the photo contest for the photo shoot!!

We got to do some photos with Brent in his uniform and then some just in our comfy clothes, but we were both able to show our personality and our love for one another!! We had lots of laughs and smiles throughout the day!

Ok, so moving onto our fitness prep!!

We have been kicking butt with our workouts and nutrition!! We are both following the Core De Force home fitness program through Beachbody and eating clean, along with incorporating Shakeology daily into our regimen to give us the best nutrition… and its a bonus that it’s an entire meal and easy and convenient for us busy momma’s and dads who don’t have a ton of time to cook every meal!

Ok, this picture is US!!! We can be so gentle, loving, and touchy feely.. yes, thats just us and one of our love languages.. thankfully we found that out about each other! Then…. when we put on a workout, we know how to kick some booty and its game on!! Sweaty, make up running since I forgot to take it off… you get the best and worst of us lol!

We just finished our MMA Mashup here with Core De Force together and its so nice when we actually get to do this together! We give each other an extra push to keep going until we literally cannot go any more!

And tonight, our post workout meal/dinner was a Greek Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing and Shrimp Stir-fry with Bok Choy.. Ok and I added scallops because I was in the mood! It was delightful!

I absolutely LOVE this journey we are on together!! He helps me so much in my walk with the Lord, in calming me, and bringing me down a level (since I’m a little high energy), and I help him with his fitness and nutrition and brining a little energy into his life! <3 I love how we equal each other out!

Busy mom making her way through life!

It seems like when I feel like I kinda get myself together, something else comes up and I’m back at square 1 trying to remake a schedule and to-do list and get it all done each day….

I’m starting to realize, this “super mom” isn’t so super all the time, but I’m making my way and doing what I can!

I’m sure some of you can relate to this… especially my fellow mamas, nurses, and even fellow work from home mamas! I honestly felt like I had it more together when I was busier working my 12 hour nursing shifts, taking my master’s classes, raising a newborn and 1 year old and starting my home fitness business! So what the heck happened to me?!

Well, lots happened especially over the past 2 years… I retired from nursing to work from home, and this year went through a divorce where I am now the single mom raising 2 boys and managing the home alone while managing my full time fitness business!!

As my life may seem like rainbows and butterflies on the outside, its not! I hope I never portray myself that way although sometimes it may appear that way because of how happy I look especially on social media.. WHY do I always look so happy?? Well, I have NO problem sharing my struggles and I’ve always done that, but when I’m feeling down, stressed, or defeated, I turn it into counting my blessings for what I have! I have a God who loves me unconditionally and accepts me for who I am, I have 2 healthy beautiful boys who  I absolutely adore (it may not seem that way when they are driving mama bonkers), and I have a successful fitness business that I absolutely LOVE that has impacted my own life in so many ways, along with others!

But when I say its not always rainbows and butterflies, I’m gonna get really REAL with you right now… I completely STINK at my schedule! One would think having the busy schedule that I use to have would have been more difficult to manage. But I actually did better being under pressure! Being able to work from home and take care of my family and home all at once has made me a little more laid back with managing my time… which means I get less done with more time! GAH I hate admitting that!!

I guess it’s a different kind of busy.. you stay at home and work from home mamas know what I mean right? More ability to pick up after everything and everyone, more time for more kids activities and driving back and forth with kids, and more freedom to do what we need!

So although I am less pressure prompted to get things done, I am on a mission to be a rockstar mom who manages her time better!!

How will I do this?!?

Well, it starts with consistency on making that good ol to-do list.. I use to make it every night before bed so I know exactly what I was going to do as a wake up in the morning! Then, I’m going to do something that is even more difficult.. I’m going to follow that to-do list! No matter what happens or interruptions that come my way, I’m going to be diligent on staying lazer focused on my tasks and remove any interruptions that may interfere with me staying on schedule… for example, notifications on Facebook and social media, phone calls, and TV shows.  Its so easy to get off track by these things, but lets face it, those things will be there when were done with our tasks, so lets focus on getting things done that will impact our lives the most, THEN…. get back to the things that are mindless! With my to-do list, I will make 2 lists:

  1. Must to TODAY- These things HAVE to get done and if not, will affect your life/business/family
  2. Must be done this week or sooner rather than later- These tasks will not make or break you if not done that day, but really do need done.

Some tasks on my to-do list to keep me sane, healthy, motivated, and successful:

  • Get my workout in. I make it a habit to get a 30 minute workout in daily.. to help me release those endorphins, stress, and tension that may be building up! Of course also keeps me healthy and strong! I am currently following the Hammer and Chisel home fitness program where I don’t have to leave the boys to go to the gym, but get the lifting and cardio piece!
  • Read personal growth/development. It is so important for me to grow as a mother,friend, significant other, coach, leader, and of course in my faith! I would NOT have the mindset I do (especially with my struggles over the past 2 years) if it weren’t for listening and reading to sermons, audios, and books that help me to grow! I highly recommend adding this 15 min at least to your day… heck do it while your in your car driving to and from work, running errands, driving kids around, or cleaning the house! I listen to a ton of Joel Osteen and Steven Furtick sermons, along with John C. Maxwell, MWF motivation (podcast), and Chalene Johnson to name a few.
  • Meal prepping each week. Every week, it is very important for me to save time when I can, but also stay on track with my nutrition to keep me feeling good and healthy! So my time and money saver is in meal prepping! I do this on Sundays after church and take at most 3 hours to cook all our meals for the week and then during the week, its one less thing to worry about!
  • Time with my boys.  Sometimes its hard to put our phone away and focus on our kids… I mean, come on, there are so many things going on and I gotta be honest, working from home and having your business be social media makes putting your phone down even more difficult! So I make it a MUST to spend some quality time with my kids each day WITHOUT a phone by me! Like turned off, silent, turned over until that time is up!! I am learning more and more every day how precious that time is with our kids and those calls and messages can wait until I’m done with my kids and giving them my attention!!

So here it is!! I know what I need to do, its a matter of doing it!! I gotta say, I feel like Im being held accountable by writing this!! So I will keep you updated and see how it goes!! I know the ONLY person that can make it happen is ME!!! I AM IN CONTROL … and so are YOU!!!!

If you are one of these mamas or dads who struggle on this time management thing with life, make that do-to list and STICK WITH IT!!! I have done it before and know first hand, it works!!! Time to take action!!

Fitness Coach Opportunity- Become a succesful stay at home/work from home mama!

As a former ER nurse, I never though I would ever change careers.  I loved what I did and I worked hard to get to where I was in life. But something was missing as I had my boys. I was missing little moments and memories with them that I was never getting back.

I knew I was the only person that would be able to change that though. So as I started working on my fitness journey, I realized how in love with the regimen that was given to me with Beachbody. I got everything I needed to reach my fitness goals and live a healthy lifestyle while showing my kids what a healthy lifestyle looks like. I was exercising just 30 minutes a day, eating clean, and drinking Shakeology which is a superfood dense shake that gave me all the nutrients that I cannot get from my typical every day meals.  I also had support and daily motivation in the challenge groups/support groups that I was added to by having a Beachbody coach.

As I was getting results I never got even working out at the gym, I decided this is something I can do to help others without having to go to school and leave my kids for more education, but something I can successfully do at home while still working as a nurse to continue motivating myself along my own fitness journey!

As I started sharing my fitness journey  and what I was doing as a Beachbody coach on Facebook, I realized there were so many other moms and nurses like me, who want this opportunity to find themselves, get into the best shape, and stay home with their kids while having the availability to build an income for their family!

Over the past 3.5 years, I have been able to build a team and business of my own with others who wanted this lifestyle and freedom that allowed me to retire from my nursing career and bringing home more than triple my nursing yearly income, but more exciting… being able to be home and be there for my kids and creating new memories!! Watching my son starting kindergarten and getting him on and off the bus is more rewarding then anything!!

WHY we use Social Media As a New Beachbody Coach 

Now that you heard about Challenge groups, it’s time to find out HOW we grow our business and expand our market.. how do we talk to more people and help everyone, everywhere!!
I know many people may say, I live in a small town, or I don’t know many people, or I have a lot of other coaches or other distributors that are taking over.

Guess what?!? I have great news for you!! Social media gives you the opportunity to expand yourself outside your area, meet new people, and talk to as many people as you want!!

What is great about this also, is again, EVERYONE is on at least 1 social media.. Whether it is Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google, Periscope, etc… our mission is NOT to use all of them, but to use 1 or 2 and get really really good so you stand out to other average people that are doing what you are going to be doing!!!


Working FULL TIME and adding Beachbody as a secondary part time

So now you know how we use social media to build our business, but you may be concerned about time. I totally get it! That was one of my biggest fears before I started as a coach. “Do you have to coach full-time to be successful?” is a question I receive often from people who are on the fence about becoming a Coach. People assume that you need to be a full-time coach and that this needs to consume your life in order to see any sort of result from it. This opportunity is completely the opposite of that. It’s up to you what you wish to invest in this, whether you want to invest a few hours before bed, a couple hours throughout your day, an hour in the morning or twenty minutes on your lunch break. The ball is in your court and the decision is yours. Whatever you decide, you can still be successful. 

Michael works full time as an engineer and father of 2 boys who are busy in sports throughout the year! He manages his work, home life, kids, and still is able to balance his career with Beachbody Coaching! Being busy just means you need some time management skills and prioritization skills, which we help with in our trainings!

BUSY PEOPLE GET STUFF DONE!! Its all on how bad you want something and if your willing to work to get to the long term reward and freedom at the end!!


How to earn income as a Beachbody Coach

Now it’s time to get talking about the potential for income and financial freedom!

Each person’s income will vary, depending on their own effort and work put into coaching! But we do have coaches that have earned up to a 6 figure income in 1 year of being consistent as a coach! Again, the success depends on YOU, but the sky’s the limit! You do not have anyone telling you how much you can make… the more people you help, the more you grow and the more successful you will become!

What’s great about this company, is you are not only given commission when people purchase a fitness program, supplements, or Shakeology from you, but they also reward you with bonuses when you sign up coaches (working or discount), and for certain rank advances as you are growing your team!

Along with watching this video where I explain more about the compensation plan, I want to share this image just as an example of what can potentially come out of staying passionate and consistent as a coach helping others with their fitness journey! I started coaching while working full time hours as an ER nurse, taking masters classes, and raising a newborn and 1 year old. Myths about Beachbody Coaching

OMGOSH…you’re thinking of becoming a BEACHBODY COACH?!! SAY WHAT???

Please take 2 minutes to read the following:
So….I’m going to COMBAT some of the top, most common apprehensions people have about taking this leap!! Here we go…

* This is a pyramid scheme or scam: NOPE (and ya know, if you thought that…it’s’re just misinformed) My husband thought this, too, and told me I was wasting my time and money and this would never work….2 months after I got into this, he was apologizing he ever doubted me…or Beachbody!

* You need to quit your job to do this and to get a business off the ground: NOPE. I was teaching 2nd grade full time, writing, doing photography, taking grad classes, had 3 children under the age of 6 at home, a husband…and I was 7 months pregnant with our 4th baby. TOTALLY possible to get a business lifted off the ground while having a busy schedule 😉

* You need to do this to MAKE a business: NOPE. Some do it simply to cover the cost of their Shakeology that they can’t go without. Others use it as a “hobby” who LOVE Beachbody’s products and use the extra income to pay off school loans, make their car payments, use it to pay their mortgage or rent, pay off some credit cards, or maybe even some “fun” money or to put into their savings. Others, like myself, want this as a BUSINESS. In less than 1 year, I was able to leave my teaching job and at age 31, 11 months into the business, I’ve officially RETIRED from teaching for good. And let me tell you, my first 2 months didn’t go as I planned. People were NOT knocking my door down but my coach reassured me that to keep posting and sharing what I was doing. By my 3rd month, things started happening, my consistency was paying off and was reaching and inspiring many. By month 5, I made what I did as a teacher each month, by month 10 that doubled. And now almost a year into it, that has tripled. Every coach’s paycheck is not a “given”. What you put into it is what you get out of it.

*You don’t have the money for this to get started: Let me tell you right now…if ANYONE gets this, please know it’s me. Despite working tons of jobs at once, due to many unpaid leaves for my babies, we were scraping…and I mean BARELY getting by (some months…okay, a LOT of months, going was a plain scary time and didn’t know if we had a way OUT). When I bought my first challenge pack almost a year ago (mine was $140), I had talked with my coach for MONTHS about this…back and forth if I could afford it (which technically I couldn’t), questioned would this work, would I annoy people with my posts…and then I prayed about it for quite some time…I knew in my heart that this is everything I needed in my life. I needed accountability to become the best version of myself; I’m 31 years old, 4 babies in 6 years and I’m in the best shape of my life. I needed, desperately needed the income and wanted to be home with my children. I needed to do something that I believed in and felt like I was making a difference in people’s lives and becoming an inspiration. And I knew if anyone was “bothered” or “annoyed” by my posts, that they needed my prayers and weren’t in the right place or happy with themselves.

I took this leap of faith in becoming a Coach and you know what, a lot of my friends and family doubted this and said I was crazy. I can say almost every single person has come around and apologized and they now say they can’t imagine how different my life would be if I hadn’t gone against the grain and DONE THIS.
This business is about health…it’s about happiness…it’s about changing LIVES. We inspire. We motivate and encourage others. We are acknowledged by doctors in all fields of all ages who are in agreement of how significant a change and impact our products DO have on a person’s health and life. We transform people physically but I gotta tell you, my favorite transformations are the emotional ones…the confidence levels. Personally, INSANITY pulled me out of a post partum depression. It was a total game changer for me, in all aspects of my life, this company!
Can this be a hobby, part-time job on the side that can make you some good pocket cash while getting/staying fit and healthy? ABSOLUTELY.

Can this be a career that can completely change what you do everyday and your family’s financial status. ABSOLUTELY.
Please use this week to throw ALL questions and concerns at us. God has blessed me with SO much in my life…but hands down, THIS was one of the best decisions He has led my heart to do!!
I now feel compelled to personally help as many as I can to be able to achieve what I already have. And for me, I have just scraped the surface. As soon as I hit one goal in this business, I’m ready to CRUSH another.

Home Fitness Business Opportunity—> Be A MOM BOSS with me!

I never thought in a million years, I would be able to say I do what I love and love what I do!! I always loved helping others.. so I went into nursing! I was an ER Nurse for 6 years… and LOVED IT!!! But I was simply missing something…. my time and freedom with my family!! 

I knew there were other ways to help people daily, be successful, but also have my time with my boys!! I mean, come on, our kids are only young once!! Those memories will go by SO quick!! I realized that with my oldest Chase who is 5!! I missed his first crawl, first Easter, and New Years because I worked 12 hour shifts.. I missed the opportunity to take them on vacations because I didn’t have the extra finances to just up and go! I paid my bills, but that was about it.   I wanted to do something with the same value of making an impact on people’s lives, but also be able to say I am not settling for less by having someone else watch my kids on holidays, someone else watch my kids play sports since I can’t make it due to work… and the only person who could make that change was ME!! My life choices are up to me! 
I had to engrain that my past decisions, genetics, family history, NOTHING will define me and what I am capable of doing! I always held back in life and doing things I was passionate about because I didn’t think I could make it because I was always that “average” person with a lot of crap in my past.  
One day something clicked.. I knew I didn’t have to live life just being average.. I didn’t have to miss memories with my boys, not have freedom to travel with my kids, or not give them the life they deserve!  I believed God put me on this earth to pursue my passion, and have an awesome life!!  Thats when I took the leap!! 
I LOVE fitness… I always loved working out! I did a fitness competition at age 18 (had no clue what I was doing, but it was a great memory lol).. I was a personal trainer at age 18.  Then just worked out at the gym, but there was always something in me that wanted to make a career out of staying healthy, accountable for my own goals, and help others do the same! Thats when I decided 3 years ago to step in the life of a Beachbody Coach! 

I have been incorporating the gym, but using my home fitness programs like 21 Day Fix, Hammer and Chisel, Body Beast, different programs that trick your body and have both weight training and cardio…. it gives me that gym type of workout and environment with a trainer in front of my face pushing me to keep going! I can be kept accountable now while I share my journey of working out and healthy eating! Shakeology is a dense nutritious meal replacement health shake that I use as a meal to help me get my extra nutrients and superfoods! I was so use to just buying regular protein powder, and being able to get more than just a protein shake has helped me with my own nutrition and goals!

So I thought, ok, I love working out, I love helping others, I want to be with my kids, travel, and gain financial freedom for our family…. was I missing something or was this my calling??? YUP!! This leap of faith I took that was placed in front of me was “that thing” that makes me excited to wake up in the morning, makes me feel complete, makes me feel I’m worth something, and allows me to be the role model for my boys so they can live a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle as well!! 
Over the past 3 years, our team has been able to maintain being at the top 0.5 % of the entire Beachbody organization! My income has grown from making my average 75,000/yr nursing salary to making my yearly full time nursing salary in just 3 months working PART-TIME at HOME! I no longer miss holidays with my kids and I attend their sporting events without a problem.. We travel at LEAST 2 a year, and I travel 4 times a year with my amazing team.  I am living the life of freedom I never thought was possible!! 
Our team is close, we get our kids together, have play dates, and have amazing friendships!! We call our kids the Beachbody babes!! LOL
We are from all over the US and Canada and still travel to be able to spend time together!
I want YOU to have this same experience.. this incredible journey of a healthy lifestyle, financial freedom, and also a positive healthy mindset! I surround myself with positive people on a daily basis! This just gets me excited!! I no longer deal with drama and stress of being around others who are unhappy and unmotivated! Our team is self motivated, driven, energetic, and passionate!
