As a former ER nurse, I never though I would ever change careers. I loved what I did and I worked hard to get to where I was in life. But something was missing as I had my boys. I was missing little moments and memories with them that I was never getting back.
I knew I was the only person that would be able to change that though. So as I started working on my fitness journey, I realized how in love with the regimen that was given to me with Beachbody. I got everything I needed to reach my fitness goals and live a healthy lifestyle while showing my kids what a healthy lifestyle looks like. I was exercising just 30 minutes a day, eating clean, and drinking Shakeologywhich is a superfood dense shake that gave me all the nutrients that I cannot get from my typical every day meals. I also had support and daily motivation in the challenge groups/support groups that I was added to by having a Beachbody coach.
As I was getting results I never got even working out at the gym, I decided this is something I can do to help others without having to go to school and leave my kids for more education, but something I can successfully do at home while still working as a nurse to continue motivating myself along my own fitness journey!
As I started sharing my fitness journey and what I was doing as a Beachbody coach on Facebook, I realized there were so many other moms and nurses like me, who want this opportunity to find themselves, get into the best shape, and stay home with their kids while having the availability to build an income for their family!
Over the past 3.5 years, I have been able to build a team and business of my own with others who wanted this lifestyle and freedom that allowed me to retire from my nursing career and bringing home more than triple my nursing yearly income, but more exciting… being able to be home and be there for my kids and creating new memories!! WHY we use Social Media As a New Beachbody Coach
Now that you heard about Challenge groups, it’s time to find out HOW we grow our business and expand our market.. how do we talk to more people and help everyone, everywhere!!
I know many people may say, I live in a small town, or I don’t know many people, or I have a lot of other coaches or other distributors that are taking over.
Guess what?!? I have great news for you!! Social media gives you the opportunity to expand yourself outside your area, meet new people, and talk to as many people as you want!!
What is great about this also, is again, EVERYONE is on at least 1 social media.. Whether it is Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google, Periscope, etc… our mission is NOT to use all of them, but to use 1 or 2 and get really really good so you stand out to other average people that are doing what you are going to be doing!!!
Working FULL TIME and adding Beachbody as a secondary part time
So now you know how we use social media to build our business, but you may be concerned about time. I totally get it! That was one of my biggest fears before I started as a coach. “Do you have to coach full-time to be successful?” is a question I receive often from people who are on the fence about becoming a Coach. People assume that you need to be a full-time coach and that this needs to consume your life in order to see any sort of result from it. This opportunity is completely the opposite of that. It’s up to you what you wish to invest in this, whether you want to invest a few hours before bed, a couple hours throughout your day, an hour in the morning or twenty minutes on your lunch break. The ball is in your court and the decision is yours. Whatever you decide, you can still be successful.
Michael works full time as an engineer and father of 2 boys who are busy in sports throughout the year! He manages his work, home life, kids, and still is able to balance his career with Beachbody Coaching! Being busy just means you need some time management skills and prioritization skills, which we help with in our trainings!
BUSY PEOPLE GET STUFF DONE!! Its all on how bad you want something and if your willing to work to get to the long term reward and freedom at the end!!
How to earn income as a Beachbody Coach
Now it’s time to get talking about the potential for income and financial freedom!
Each person’s income will vary, depending on their own effort and work put into coaching! But we do have coaches that have earned up to a 6 figure income in 1 year of being consistent as a coach! Again, the success depends on YOU, but the sky’s the limit! You do not have anyone telling you how much you can make… the more people you help, the more you grow and the more successful you will become!
What’s great about this company, is you are not only given commission when people purchase a fitness program, supplements, or Shakeology from you, but they also reward you with bonuses when you sign up coaches (working or discount), and for certain rank advances as you are growing your team!
Along with watching this video where I explain more about the compensation plan, I want to share this image just as an example of what can potentially come out of staying passionate and consistent as a coach helping others with their fitness journey! I started coaching while working full time hours as an ER nurse, taking masters classes, and raising a newborn and 1 year old. Myths about Beachbody Coaching

OMGOSH…you’re thinking of becoming a BEACHBODY COACH?!! SAY WHAT???
Please take 2 minutes to read the following:
So….I’m going to COMBAT some of the top, most common apprehensions people have about taking this leap!! Here we go…
* This is a pyramid scheme or scam: NOPE (and ya know, if you thought that…it’s okay..you’re just misinformed) My husband thought this, too, and told me I was wasting my time and money and this would never work….2 months after I got into this, he was apologizing he ever doubted me…or Beachbody!
* You need to quit your job to do this and to get a business off the ground: NOPE. I was teaching 2nd grade full time, writing, doing photography, taking grad classes, had 3 children under the age of 6 at home, a husband…and I was 7 months pregnant with our 4th baby. TOTALLY possible to get a business lifted off the ground while having a busy schedule 😉
* You need to do this to MAKE a business: NOPE. Some do it simply to cover the cost of their Shakeology that they can’t go without. Others use it as a “hobby” who LOVE Beachbody’s products and use the extra income to pay off school loans, make their car payments, use it to pay their mortgage or rent, pay off some credit cards, or maybe even some “fun” money or to put into their savings. Others, like myself, want this as a BUSINESS. In less than 1 year, I was able to leave my teaching job and at age 31, 11 months into the business, I’ve officially RETIRED from teaching for good. And let me tell you, my first 2 months didn’t go as I planned. People were NOT knocking my door down but my coach reassured me that to keep posting and sharing what I was doing. By my 3rd month, things started happening, my consistency was paying off and was reaching and inspiring many. By month 5, I made what I did as a teacher each month, by month 10 that doubled. And now almost a year into it, that has tripled. Every coach’s paycheck is not a “given”. What you put into it is what you get out of it.
*You don’t have the money for this to get started: Let me tell you right now…if ANYONE gets this, please know it’s me. Despite working tons of jobs at once, due to many unpaid leaves for my babies, we were scraping…and I mean BARELY getting by (some months…okay, a LOT of months, going under..it was a plain scary time and didn’t know if we had a way OUT). When I bought my first challenge pack almost a year ago (mine was $140), I had talked with my coach for MONTHS about this…back and forth if I could afford it (which technically I couldn’t), questioned would this work, would I annoy people with my posts…and then I prayed about it for quite some time…I knew in my heart that this is everything I needed in my life. I needed accountability to become the best version of myself; I’m 31 years old, 4 babies in 6 years and I’m in the best shape of my life. I needed, desperately needed the income and wanted to be home with my children. I needed to do something that I believed in and felt like I was making a difference in people’s lives and becoming an inspiration. And I knew if anyone was “bothered” or “annoyed” by my posts, that they needed my prayers and weren’t in the right place or happy with themselves.
I took this leap of faith in becoming a Coach and you know what, a lot of my friends and family doubted this and said I was crazy. I can say almost every single person has come around and apologized and they now say they can’t imagine how different my life would be if I hadn’t gone against the grain and DONE THIS.
This business is about health…it’s about happiness…it’s about changing LIVES. We inspire. We motivate and encourage others. We are acknowledged by doctors in all fields of all ages who are in agreement of how significant a change and impact our products DO have on a person’s health and life. We transform people physically but I gotta tell you, my favorite transformations are the emotional ones…the confidence levels. Personally, INSANITY pulled me out of a post partum depression. It was a total game changer for me, in all aspects of my life, this company!
Can this be a hobby, part-time job on the side that can make you some good pocket cash while getting/staying fit and healthy? ABSOLUTELY.
Can this be a career that can completely change what you do everyday and your family’s financial status. ABSOLUTELY.
Please use this week to throw ALL questions and concerns at us. God has blessed me with SO much in my life…but hands down, THIS was one of the best decisions He has led my heart to do!!
I now feel compelled to personally help as many as I can to be able to achieve what I already have. And for me, I have just scraped the surface. As soon as I hit one goal in this business, I’m ready to CRUSH another.

What better way to make a yummy treat than using raw food that is not processed and guilt-free?! I have a book called RAWvolution by Matt Amsden and he has some great recipes that are so simple to make but yet so healthy!
This Raw Coconut Fudge is one of my favorite desserts! Who knew you can make a great dessert with literally 4 ingredients?! They say 5 ingredients or less is a great indicator of a healthy food, especially when you can read the ingredients! So here you go!
Raw Coconut Fudge
3 cups raw walnuts
1/2 cup carob powder
2 cups shredded unsweetened coconut
5/8 cup agave nectar (sweetener that is low on the glycemic index)
Grind walnuts in a food processor until they are at a buttery consistency
In a large mixing bowl, combine the carob powder and shredded coconut and mix well. Add the ground walnuts and the agave nectar and mix well.
Press the mixture into small muffin pan (or flat glass baking dish), creating a flat, even layer approximately 3/4 inch thick. If using a glade baking dish, cut into squares and serve.
* Taste best when covered and frozen until thoroughly chilled for a more solid consistency before cutting and serving.

Ok, so I’m a very honest person, so Im going to just put it out there… This week sucked! It was by far, the toughest week for me yet! I went away to Jersey to visit a friend and I could not control myself there, let alone when I came home… In Jersey, 15 weeks out, I ate NACHOS AGAIN (whats up with me and nachos?!?!) and yes they were loaded! I guess go big or go home!?! And then, frozen yogurt, not once, but twice! Not the plain vanilla frozen yogurt either… It was the oreos, peanut butter cup, hot fudge, and peanut butter on top! YEA, that bad!! Seriously, I was SOOOO disappointed with myself!
Every other meal was great! My friend made me awesome Zucchini Turkey Burgerswith grilled peppers and a sweet potato… but even while I was in Jersey, I got my friend to go to the gym with me for my workout! We did back day and it was great!!

I guess this is just part of the struggle… I know Im human… but I felt terrible that I am a fitness coach and totally falling apart and not doing what I tell my challengers!! UGH!! Its all about practice what you preach!
On another note, my workouts have been great! Ive done them daily, but was not seeing results because I was not on top with my nutrition… Literally, my veins went away and I looked VERY different! Its crazy when you start to get low with your body fat, how much you can see a change in a day! I decided its time to keep myself accountable in other ways… My trainer is a great help and is trying to motivate me as much as possible, but I obviously still fell off the wagon, so were trying this another way.
One day at a time.. I can’t keep thinking about 14 more weeks and looking ahead because I sike myself out. So pictures WILL be taken every week from here on out of my progress..

14 WEEKS TO SHOW WEEKEND NPC FIGURE COMPETITION
OK The day I realized I sucked so bad and was at my lowest emotionally, its time to get over it and realize I have some goals to meet… I cried it out, I pouted about it, but it is not going to get me to 1st place, so moving forward!
So one thing that was more frustrating this week was on leg day, I hurt my left knee. Not sure what I did, but I was on the Press Machine and doing 270 lbs, and the way my knee was, I tried to re position, but didn’t do it properly. Im pretty sure it was a ligament, but needless to say, I couldn’t do any more workouts… Since I need so much work on my legs, I was so frustrated… I am suppose to be doing 2 leg days a week, along with cardio 2 times a week, and then this happens after I ate terrible! UGH!!
This was the day I needed to wake up and realize I can literally have NO more cheats! My trainer keeps telling me, “You are going to be the only one up on stage being mad about the nachos and ice cream you and is you know is holding you back from first.” I cannot sell myself short. I know I am capable of this. Its just getting into the mind set.
The pics above are from yesterday which is day 2, but I will be posting my total results with the refresh once Im done tomorrow morning 🙂 I feel so much better though its crazy!! Im back on track and after my melt down, Im ready to roll!! I am going to do weekly videos also because that really helped me see where I need to be with myself emotionally.

So this is 15 weeks and counting down until my NPC Figure Competition…. NO cheat meals, strict, and double cardio daily.

I know I still have ways to go, but I am glad to see I am starting to see changes in my quads!!! YAY!! Hopefully it continues from here!! Its still hard to picture myself on show day! Ive never been that lean, so I am really looking forward to seeing how this will turn out!!
PS. I let go of my trainer yesterday and as I was extremely frustrated, I will say yesterday was probably my best workout Ive had lol! Im very upset about it because he was very knowledgeable and knows what he’s doing, but I need consistency… UGH!! Ok that was my vent and struggle for this week!! Moving onto bigger and better things!!
Last week, I did PiYoas my cardio in the morning (great stretch, flexibility, and toning workout), and then afternoon, I do my workout and cardio post-workout (Steep Incline and focusing on squeezing buttocks). Let me tell you I didn’t think I would get a great workout with my upper hamstring and glutes on incline at 3 MPH, but let me tell you how much of a difference it is when you focus and squeeze on each step!! HOLY MAN!! I am already shaping my bum!!! YAY!! I know thats one of the hardest things to shape when preparing for show time, so at least I know Im doing something right!
This week, I am changing things up a bit. Instead of PiYo, I am going to do T25which is a 25 minute home fitness program that gives you cardio, and weight training all in one to help you achieve your fitness goals! I am hoping tricking my body will give me that extra step closer to my goals!

Im not going to lie, I have needed some extra energy in the mornings and afternoon!! This training wears me out a little!! I am use to my home fitness training which definitely got me to my goals, but changing your routine completely is making me extra sleepy!! Deidra- Get with the program!!!
Family snack- SHAKEOLOGY
Ok, so I love the fact that my hubby is totally supporting me through this!! I was craving at night, and my hubby passed up the ice cream and asked me to make him a shake so we can have one together! YES PLEASE!! I need all the help I can get!! Of course, my kids are completely obsessed with our Shakeology also, so they joined in on the fun for movie/Shakeology night!!

Ok, usually when you eat the same thing over and over, it gets old quick… I don’t know what it is, but eating hard boiled eggs and Sriracha hot sauce is sooooo addicting to me!! I can eat them all day!! Yes, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks!! HAHA Of course I want to eat the yoke with every egg, but I know I can only limit myself to one 🙂
Not sure if you have had this Sriracha hot sauce before, but I literally POUR it all over my eggs lol!!

I had a lot of temptations with food this weekend with my in-laws here with us and my mother in law being an amazing baker that she is with her cookies!! I sat there and smelled them haha!
Luckily, I have my challenge groups on Facebook which are my support groups that I run to help my challengers reach their health and fitness goals. I had to be a challenger and post so people helped me stay on track!! Otherwise, I may have given in!
Once I stayed strong (ok took 1 bite), I felt much better and didn’t need it! I know that is a psychological game and if I know I could have it, I wouldn’t want it… So its just because I know I can’t that now I want it! Make sense?!? hehe
My MAN CAKE with APPLES RECIPE:
1 Green apple diced
1/2 cup oatmeal
8 egg whites, 1 yoke
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
Olive Oil Spray
Put stove on medium and spray pan on stove with Olive oil spray
Mix first 5 ingredients in bowl and apply to pan on stove
Cook on each side for approximately 4 minutes, or until done to your liking
Let cool and ENJOY!!
** Remember, I am training for a figure show, so I have increased my protein intake ALOT!! I also do not count calories, I count protein, carbs, and fat intake! 🙂
One of my favorite snacks I had was my hummus and raw veggies… I really shouldn’t be having hummus, but I was good about portion size and I still have time before getting really strict 😉

Im leaving you all with this…. we are all going to have struggles, doubts, and instability… that’s just a part of life and our job is to learn to deal and cope with what we have. Realize what you are struggling with, someone else has it worse than you. Take everything you have and be thankful! I am thankful that my family is supporting me through my journey 110%! I will say, 4 weeks ago, when I told my husband that I was entering to train for my first NPC figure competition, he was upset. He said that is unattractive and he does not want me looking like that…..
Well, 4 weeks have gone by and he has totally changed his thoughts! He is proud of my hard work, and is helping me when I have cravings, and even talks about what Im doing to train for my show! Can’t forget the nice compliments I’m getting about my physique 🙂
If you just be you, and be your best, that should be enough for anyone who loves you and cares about you and your happiness and success! Do what makes you happy, because at the end of the day, you have 1 life, and who knows when it may be your last… live it to your fullest and without regret EVERY DAY!!!

I jump for joy every time I am able to talk about this coach success story! This story is so special and touches me because I know so many people can relate with her!! Get ready to be inspired!
Natasha signed up with me almost a year ago and was so excited to work as a health and fitness coach with Team Beachbody! She is also a Registered Nurse and works with me in the Emergency Room. She came over my house and was so excited to get started with coaching… She had goals and all these intentions, but there was something missing. She didn’t pursue anything, never acted upon what her goals were, and never followed through. It was sad because I saw the potential she had, and I saw it going to waste.

Whatever clicked with Natasha, really clicked. That very next day, she started talking to people about joining her challenge group (support and accountability group) and join her team as a health and fitness coach!
From that point on, she grew from a discount coach canceling her coach account, to rank advancing to diamond in 2 months, and adding other coaches who love helping others, and also running challenge groups to help people reach their own health and fitness goals!
What a turn around! She has become so successful and now sees her potential.. She sees whats possible with Beachbody as a career!!

Today is a special day for me! What got me started with coaching is having my own transformation… I was using Beachbody workouts, and drinking SHAKEOLOGY EVERY DAY! It became a routine for me that was so easy to follow and manageable for me and my family… Going to the gym was not an option… I do not have family that live close by to just drop my kids off to a sitter… I also was working 12 hour shifts, so taking away more time to drive back and forth just did not seem feasible to me… I needed something that would work for me, my family, and my lifestyle!
That brings me to Beachbody! This is WHY I became a coach! Im getting the best of both worlds:
I’m continuing my own fitness journey, keeping myself accountable, while helping others reach their goals, BUT also staying at home with my kids!! As a nurse, I am helping people, but this is a different kind of help… Being able to help my family, friends, and customers on a daily basis and watch their transformations is so incredibly rewarding! The best feeling is waking up to messages saying how you have helped them lose 2 lbs in a week, or went down a pant size, or have never had so much energy is so exciting!
