Since all my little man wants to do is eat I need to make sure I am healthy to give him the best of the best. I snuck some milk boosting foods into my super food shake for a yummy way to start my morning
Share with a breastfeeding momma in your life
-1 frozen banana
-1/4 cup quick oats (good source of iron which is very important for anemic mothers. Low iron levels = low supply)
-2 tbsp peanut butter (because it is yummy and also new studies show introducing peanuts at an early age can decrease risk of an allergy)
-1 tbsp flax seed (helps boost supply)
-1 cup milk
-10 ice cubes
-1 scoop of Chocolate Vegan Shakeology
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or any milk- I use fairlife milk)
1/4 cup small chocolate chips (I use soy free, dairy free chocolate chips)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray. *(The silicone muffin pans work amazing and do not stick!) In a large bowl, stir together oats, baking powder, seasonings and salt.
Add pumpkin, egg, maple syrup, vanilla extract, milk and add-ins. Stir well to incorporate.
Allow the mixture to set and thicken for about 3-5 minutes before spooning into your muffin pan.
Fill muffin cups almost completely full with batter. Top off with chocolate chips.
Bake for 30 minutes and until the center of each oatmeal muffin is set. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
So here it is!! I have some vanilla Shakeology hanging around my pantry and since I am a huge Chocolate fan and use it pretty much every day, I felt it was time to change it up a little!!
This Pina Colada Shakeology was a hit tonight for our evening snack to help us from digging into unnecessary items in our fridge and pantry!
8-10 ice cubes
4 oz water
4 oz coconut milk
1 scoop vanilla Shakeology
1/4 cup crushed pineapple
1 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut
Mix all ingredients in a blender and blend for 30-45 seconds
Top off with a sprinkled unsweetened shredded coconut

I am always up for new yummy recipes, especially for desserts when I get my little sweet tooth kick! This 5 ingredient recipe is pretty simple, yet satisfying!!! Make sure when your bananas go ripe (brown), your not just wasting them and throwing them away!! There are so many things you can do with them.. this is just one of them!!

I’ve been using Shakeology for over 4 years now since the start of my fitness journey. I will say, I have found my flavor and consistency that I love, so I keep with that pretty much every day.
But I need to switch things up! Try something new and keep things fresh!!
Today I used my Vanilla Shakeology (1 scoop), added 1/2 cup frozen mango (from Aldi) and 1/2 cup fresh strawberries with 6 oz water. I blended in my ninja with 4 ice cubes and whipped that bad boy up!
Always keep in mind, you can workout a lot, but you can’t workout a bad diet! Nutrition is 80% of your results! Clean eating MUST be a part of your lifestyle in order to get the BEST results!

I usually drink my Shakeology post workout to re-fuel my body and repair my muscles after they have been broken down with my workout. If you want to drink your superfood shake another time, I prefer scheduling it in your day with a meal you either have trouble getting in (many forget breakfast), or if you usually eat poor at a certain meal. What I love about Shakeology is its not just a protein shake you can pick up at GNC or Walmart (although many stores try to mimic) and you can do more than just make a shake out of it!! I love making desserts, treat, and energy bars too that are nutritious and clean!!

How in the heck do you stay on track with your nutrition, especially over the holidays?!?! It’s 4th of July weekend and I know people are about partying, food, and alcohol! But… it doesn’t necessarily have to be unhealthy!! You can still have fun and be clean about your choices of food and drinks!!
I’m leaving for vacation tonight once kids are in bed and I am prepping some food now to take to South Carolina for some get togethers with our team and family!! I want to show you that it’s still possible to travel, go to parties, and be healthy all at the same time!! Sounds like a lot of work huh? Lol
For the road-
It’s easy to say “Oh, I don’t have anything with me, lets stop at a fast food restaurant.” Ummm or NOT!! It’s called, plan and prepare my friends!! It’s easier to plan and have it all with you than to stop, waste time, money, and your body!! Treat your body as a temple, its the only place to live!!
So here are some foods I have prepared for the road:
It’s all about moderation, portion control, but having fun with your food too!! You don’t have to eat greasy, fried, unhealthy food to enjoy it!! You just get a little creative!
Most of all, keep in mind that holidays are not about food.. It’s about celebrating the holiday with friends and family and appreciating what we have!!
