¼ cup Braggs Liquid Amini (or low sodium soy sauce)
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
⅛ cup lemon juice
¾ cup light brown sugar
2 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp Himalayan salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
6 chicken breasts or 3.5 lb chicken
Combine all ingredients, except for chicken, in a mixing bowl and whisk together.
Remove a half a cup of marinade and reserve for basting the chicken later.
Place chicken in a large, ziploc bag and pour marinade over the top. Close securely.
Marinate for at least 30 minutes, but up to 24 hours (I found it was delicious when I marinaded it for 30 minutes and 1 hour).
Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until cooked all the way through.
Optional, but makes this recipe taste even better:
If you bring the reserved marinade up to a boil, let simmer until slightly reduced, it makes a wonderful sauce to go on top of the chicken.
ENJOY!!! I loved this meal with our home made green beans with potatoes and ham and a little fruit on the side!!

So the scoop is, Shakeology is a pretty amazing and healthy meal that has significantly changed my life in so many ways. My nutrition was terrible after having my second boy… I was craving all the crap that my body didn’t need and wasn’t helping me reach my goals. I would dive into a gallon of ice cream on a regular basis… and eat the WHOLE THING… no lie! I was feeling bloated because I was putting artificial sweeteners and chemicals in my body with all the crap I was eating. I didn’t have energy because I wasn’t fueling my body the right way. The list goes on and on, but I’m sure you can relate to some extent of how my lifestyle was.
I needed a change and doing it on my own wasn’t working… I started even working harder at the gym, taking whey protein from GNC, or wherever, but again, no matter what protein I was taking in post workout, I was hungry short after, and didn’t feel any better.
I was asked to join an opportunity to be in an online fitness group, which is where my journey with Beachbody started! It was a private group on Facebook doing home fitness workouts, eating clean, and adding Shakeology into my regimen, and having 1:1 support with a Beachbody coach.
Can I just tell you how these 4 things will impact your life and help you have such a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle? These 4 things are so easily looked over… people want the easy and cheap way out of things and when it comes to your health, that is one that I refuse to sacrifice! We only live once and I want this body to live a long life for myself and my family!
So lets get to it…. NUTRITION!!
It is key to your health and your fitness goals! You cannot workout a bad diet!! You can workout as much as you want, but if you eat like crap, it will show and your results will NOT change! That is where Shakeology has come into play for me! I kept hearing about this overnight oat thing, and I’m like, I like my oatmeal warm??? Little did I know how amazing these bad boys are!! I am so glad I decided to go for it and try it for myself!! Seriously, this is such an easy, healthy and yummy breakfast!! So here are the two I made yesterday!! Both are pretty darn amazing!! Who knows, maybe it was just the cook! Lol!
1 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup oats
Blackberries (1/4 Cup)
Maple Pecan granola (2 tbsp)
Pure maple syrup (1 tbsp)
Cinnamon 1/2 tsp
In a medium bowl, mix together yogurt, milk, and oats . Add berries, cinnamon, pure maple syrup, and granola at this point if desired.
Divide into three jars or containers, and refrigerated at least 4-6 hours or overnight.

Its so easy to let go of those health and fitness goals when the winter is here. We are easily covered up by those big sweaters and sweatpants and no one sees us in bathing suits at the beach. But now that spring is here and summer is right around the corner, those bathing suits are coming out! Do you want to have to be covered up by shorts and pants or do you want to feel confident and sexy in your 2 piece or cute little summer outfits?
I don’t know about you, but I’m game for feeling good about myself! Nothing is sexier than a confident woman! When you do not like the way you look, your face will show it, and everyone (including your kids) will sense that insecurity!
It’s time to set some goals, make an action plan, and start taking ACTION!!
When I say set goals, I mean think of your long-term goals and short-term. Write them down on paper and put a date on it! When you do this, you are giving your goals a sense of urgency! Even better, when you set your goals, along with putting it on paper, put in on your phone or somewhere you will always see it! The more you see it, the more you think about it. The more you think about it, the more likely you will stay accountable!
When making an action plan, I mean schedule out what you will do to reach those fitness goals! For me, I have a schedule of my workouts, I make a meal plan, and put everything in stone of what I WILL be doing to reach my goals… or should I say on paper?!
Taking action is sometimes the hardest to do! Like people say, it’s easier said than done! BUT, when you do the first 2 steps, your more likely to stick to your plan and make it happen! How do I take action?
I set an alarm and wake up at 6 am every morning… well almost!! Im human, not perfect lol! But I do get an A for effort!!
I meal prep every Sunday so I am all set for success!! I take about 3 hours total on Sundays after church to get my groceries, make my meal plan on www.picmonkey.com, and start cooking away!! I love listening to personal growth and development every single day also to help me stay motivated and excited about my fitness journey! Some podcasts I listen to are Chalene Johnson “The Chalene Show” and MWF Motivation! Seriously, before you knock it, go give it a shot! It will change your life!!
Positive self-talk!! Yes, you heard me!! Its unfortunately so normal to talk ourselves down, and talk ourselves out of doing things that we want to accomplish! Why I do my personal development and growth is because it has helped me completely change my mindset! It helps me remember to give myself positive talk and celebrate all my small successes along the way! Each morning, I will look in the mirror and tell myself what I AM… I am confident, I am happy, I am successful, I WILL conquer today.. and I will tell myself what I will achieve!! It may sound crazy, but your results will come from what you tell yourself! If you talk yourself down, you will become negative.. if you talk yourself up, you will find yourself being successful!!
So lets start NOW!! Now no better time will come! If you wait for the perfect time, you will be waiting a very long time!!
I am excited to start my new 60 day challenge with Hammer and Chisel where I will be incorporating cardio, weight training, and clean eating! I am a HUGE gym fan, so this home fitness program is a perfect way for me to have that similar atmosphere and workout with amazing results!! With my clean eating, you will notice in my meal plan below for this week, I drink Shakeologyevery day religiously and I absolutely love the nutrition benefits I receive! Its one thing to get a protein shake in.. it’s another to have a drink full of dense superfood nutrition! People do not realize how our crops are grown with our soil that is not dense and full of nutrients as it was 30 years ago. How to get to your happy place physically, emotionally, spiritually:
Get in a workout at least 4 days a week- Wether its 20-30 minutes long, believe it or not, that 20-30 minute workout will make a huge difference in your long term success and make you feel amazing, gain more energy, and be less tired! Eat 5-6 Healthy meals a day- Yes, you eat healthy, you fuel your body right, you will feel good, have more energy, and feel good about the success you have of being healthy!! Seriously, it just makes us happier people when we are healthier!
Journal- Yes, get a journal and write in it regularly! This is going to allow you to get your feelings and emotions out, maybe time for you and Jesus, or to track your daily activity with nutrition and exercise! It may sound silly, but coming from my own experience, it has made a huge difference in my success in all areas of my life! Don’t knock it til ya try it!
Positive talk to self- Seriously, how many times do we talk down to ourselves, doubt ourselves of what we are capable of, talk ourselves out of things we want in life? Instead of tearing yourself down, build yourself up!! Every morning, go to your mirror, and talk to yourself in a positive way! Tell yourself you are beautiful, you are smart, you will win the day, you are worth it, tell yourself what you WILL accomplish! Then at the end of the day, go over the things you did accomplish or any small successes you can celebrate to keep that positive mindset going!
Improve your FAITH- You may not be a believer, but for those who are (or aren’t), its never too late to build a relationship with the Lord! I didn’t start until about 2 years ago, and these last 2 years of having faith, belief, and support from God has been the best 2 years of my life! Despite my struggles and obstacles (battling through a divorce, moving and purchasing my house on my own, just to name a few lol), I would not be where I am today holding my head up if it weren’t for giving my problems to God and allowing Him to help me through my struggles in life.. and it helps so much that I had amazing friends who are believers to help me through and support me and encouraging me through my struggles!
READ or LISTEN to Personal Development/Growth- Call me crazy for being so positive, but again, this has impacted my life more than anything! People are so quick to waste time on a TV show, nap sessions, phone calls that do not impact your life in any way, shape, or form… in fact, majority is about gossip– Yea, sad but true! Instead, why not use your time you do have wisely to put positive words into your mind! Things that will help you in life.. cuz you all know we need help! lol I read and listen to books and audios about confidence, leadership, how to become more successful, improving my faith, improving communication skills, relationships, and how to live a life of happiness and freedom! Cant EVERYONE really benefit from this?!?! UMMM heck ya! Just to name a few of my favorites: Daren Hardy’s “Compound Effect”, Chalene Johnson’s Podcast “Build your Tribe” and “The Chalene Show”, Joel Osteens Podcast– You pick the sermon, they are ALL amazing and will help you in every aspect of your life!
Find friends with same common interests and hobbies- I have lost friends along the way of my healthy lifestyle and fitness business.. Yea it sucks, BUT those “friends” I did have weren’t true friends or they would have supported what makes me happy! They mocked my healthy lifestyle and then went on with their own drama and unhealthy lifestyle. Thats completely fine and I would never try and change that.. but what I did find, was when I surrounded myself with people who loved what I did, were positive people, people who lift me up and the ones who have impacted my life the most! I want more of that!! If you feel you can’t find them, your not looking hard enough!! I promise they are out there!! Look in Facebook groups, Instagram, seriously, use social media in a good way!! One way is finding awesome friendships with people of similar interests and passion!
Yea I know only the first 2 Tips have ANYTHING to do with your bikini body, but… if you can put ALL these together, seriously, you will LOVE the way you look, think, and feel!! Its not all just about the physical appearance!! You can be as healthy as can be, but lack self confidence, motivation, support, etc.. you have to go beyond what your doing now to find the happiness for everything else.. and when you do find that happiness, you’ll realize the grass can be greener on the other side!

So many people try to stay away from fat altogether because they have this thought in their mind that it will make you gain weight! FALSE!!!
Its the unhealthy fat that makes you gain weight! If you put yourself on a healthy diet, and eat good fats, your body will actually help you on your weight loss journey!
One thing I will add is if you are going to add healthy fats, please be aware there is NO healthy fat that is calorie free! That does not mean leave it out of your regimen! It means you will just have to have fewer of another macronutrient with the same amount of calories per gram… yup.. CARBS! I am not saying leave carbs out either lol!
You need a good portion of each to really give you the best results possible! I do not count calories simply because you can eat 100 calorie M&Ms all day and still be in your calorie range and nothing else… Well, that is NOT the healthy and long term healthy route! So, I would rather count macros so you are getting each food group and getting nutrients in to fuel your body. That would be called the “Right way” of a healthy nutrition regimen.
Why low fat diets are NOT good for you:
I can’t help it, I LOVE Peanut Butter!!!
“Lower-fat diets can have negative impact on adipokines which impact fat loss. Adipokines are hormones released specifically from your fat cells. One such hormone, adiponectin, is a true fat-burning hormone that works to enhance your metabolism and increase the rate in which fats are broken down, curbing your appetite. Lower-fat diets lead to lower levels of adiponectin.” -Bodybuilding.com
Not only do you NOT want to have a low fat diet, but when you are eating fats (healthy fats), they are actually more satisfying to you compared to other nutrients! Many low calorie foods will keep you hungry which causes over eating. So adding these healthy fats will actually prevent the issue of over eating!
One more thing.. be sure when you are eating, you want to portion size! Eating 5-6 small frequent meals is recommended. When you eat these smaller meals, you will feel fuller longer, whereas if you ate 2 or 3 big meals, you are starving by the time you eat, and then you over eat, insulin levels spike and peek and throws off your entire body. This may not happen right away, but long term affects of overeating will cause these possible issues.
I have personally found lots of success with portion control and using the color coded containers from Beachbody’s21 Day Fix Program!

I have had quite a journey of my own.. I have gone through numerous home fitness programs with Beachbody, working out at the gym, running outside, and I have found what I love and what works for me. Being a mom of two boys, a busy mom at that (as most mommies and daddies are) I do not always have the opportunity to just head out to the gym like some may be able to. So having the ability to just wake up and get my workout in before everyone else wakes up makes life so much easier, and I’m still getting amazing results… more than I ever have even working out at the gym!
I have found having everything I need to reach my fitness goals with Beachbody. You get the nutrition, fitness, support, and results! Its easy to go to the gym and workout, or google a workout and do some crunches and lunges, but adding in the support system and accountability changes it all!!
So here I am.. DAY 1 of my new beginning of another awesome journey! Our newest program that was just released Hammer and Chisel is about to go down for the next 60 days!! 6 days a week with 30-40 minute workouts, incorporating weight training and cardio to help build muscle and shred, and get in tip top shape!! There is no waiting for a new year for me, this is about making my health and fitness a lifestyle! So Sunday was prepping for the big DAY 1!!
I got my lean proteins (ground turkey meat, chicken, Filet Mignon), my good carbs (oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potatoes), lots of green veggies, and of course my Shakeology to give me my superfoods and dense nutrients to help with my energy, cravings, and bloating naturally!
I got my meal plan done, food prepped, and ready to rock it!!! My meal plan is using the color coded containers from the 21 Day Fix . Its so much easier to measure out those portions, than to count every single calorie you eat. Reality is, if you portion control, you will likely stay within the range you need to for reaching your goals. But remember, not all food groups are the same portion!! You do not need the same size portion of carbs as veggies!! That’s why these containers are so beneficial and I love the fact that they come with these programs!!
This morning was my very firstHammer and Chiselworkout!!! Ok, I thought, 38 minutes.. I can totally get through this without a problem… then I got into the second move and my legs and glutes were on fire!! Seriously, excuse me but my A$$ is still on fire and Im still shaking!!!! That was one heck of a workout!! The exercises and moves are different than any other program I have done, which is why I love it so much already!! Today’s workout was Balance. I am pretty good with that.. didn’t think I would have issues… until I realized I am also adding weights! GAHHH!!
Needless to say, I was drenched, but felt AMAZING!!!!!!! It was a challenge for sure and I did say I love challenges!! Now, time to get through the rest of this week!!! It’s going to be fun, interesting, and I’m going to make it successful!!

3 Years ago, I was working full time as an ER nurse, taking my Master’s classes to be a School Nurse, and taking care of my little boy who was 12 weeks old and 1 year old. I needed a change and something to get out of the crazy swing shifts and working weekends and holidays, so I decided to go with my gut and take a leap of faith.
Sometimes a leap of faith is scary, especially since humans naturally fear the unknown and fear change. But I knew the current situation in my life I was in, I was not happy. Taking that leap was the best thing I could have ever done for myself, and my boys! I was taking a leap for freedom both physically (for myself and being a good role model for my boys) and financially.
Physical Freedom- After my second baby, the weight wasn’t falling off like the first, I was depressed, uncomfortable, and insecure with my body. I officially had the “mommy body”… not fun… Never wanted to say I had that, but I did. But shortly after realizing how miserable I was, I was able to start my new fitness journey with Beachbody.
I started my journey with Insanity (yes, I picked the most intense workout possible lol) and Shakeology, which is our health shake full of dense nutrition and superfoods to help curb those crazy cravings, increase your energy (naturally), and improve your digestion! You can just say I instantly fell in love! I literally felt so different in just 2 weeks of my journey and new this was the change I needed for myself and my health.
After completing Insanity and Turbo Fire, I knew I wanted to do more than help myself.. I wanted to help others who felt the way I did.. I wanted to help them realize there is another part that was missing.. the opportunity to feel confident, fit, and energetic! That was when I took my leap of faith as a Fitness Coach with Beachbody!
As I was a coach, I was able to keep myself more accountable to continue my fitness journey and was able to reach my ultimate fitness and health goals 9 months later! I had abs… something I NEVER had before and never thought was possible, especially after kids!
Currently, I still use my challenge groups (support groups online where I work 1:1 with my customers to help them reach their goals) as my own accountability and show I am still on my own journey!
Financial Freedom- Before Beachbody, I was a nurse, making decent money, but not enough that I was able to save and put away for my children’s school, go on vacations more than 1 time a year, and support them in the way I wanted to be able to support them.
The first month I started working as a fitness coach, I was able to make $677! To me, this was exciting!! Working 7 hours a week and making this just by doing what I love?? Helping people and sharing my journey?!?
YES PLEASE!!! This was like a career that I always could dream of but didn’t think it was possible to have something that fit me and my lifestyle so much! Well folks, I have good news… ITS REAL!!!
People who love fitness tend to go right to personal training… nothing wrong with that at all!! BUT… this is just another or additional opportunity to help others from more than just your area.. we help people from all over the US and CANADA (we are working on going international don’t worry)!
As I have been able to reach out to people from all over, I have grown my business to be in the top 1% of the entire organization!! Whats even cooler???
Our team has been in the top 1% of the organization since my first year of coaching! So the past 2 years, we’ve actually been in the top 0.5% of the company!
This means amazing training, more opportunity for success and freedom!!
To sum it up, financially, I have been able to provide more for my boys than I ever have! I am making what I do as a full time ER Nurse in 1 year, in just 3 months (or less)! Thats right! I have more than tripled my yearly income and I can confidently tell you that YOU can do the same IF your passion is there!

Me and my love for spicy food!! I can’t get enough!! 🙂
I had some rice noodles and wanted to come up with something else to help me with my Chinese food craving, so here it is!!!
1 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cooked and cut into medium cubes
1 bag broccoli (I use steam fresh microwavable bags)
1/4 cup braggs liquid aminos (found in organic section- replacement for soy sauce)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sriracha
1/2 cup Beef broth (low sodium)
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 TBSP corn starch
As you are cooking your chicken, place steam fresh bag of broccoli and cook according to directions on back
Place sauce pan on stove on medium, and add braggs aminos, garlic, sesame oil, sriracha, beef broth, and crushed red pepper and cook for 5 minutes.
Slowly, add corn starch and continue mixing until clumps are gone and is dissolved.
Add broccoli to chicken after cooked
Add sauce mix into chicken and cook on low for 5 minutes.
Let cool before eating

2.5 years ago, I went to my very first Super Saturday training in Pittsburgh, PA and that was the start of something amazing with my business!! I went 2 months as a coach not doing much.. I wanted to help others with their fitness journey, but I guess you can say I was not dedicated and did not have a big enough WHY to want to be successful.
That Super Saturday, I remember sitting in the audience just admiring the coaches up on stage because of their success, but also just being strong enough to get out of their comfort zone and speak! I am terrified of public speaking… well I guess you can say “was” terrified, because things have definitely changed over the past 2.5 yrs!!
As I have been working on my own fitness journey, and having a passion to help others (thats the nurse in me), I have truly found my calling in life! Loving to share my own journey with fitness and clean eating, my figure competing, being a role model for my kids to grow up and learn the healthy lifestyle, and inspiring others to make the change I have made because it has made such a big impact in my life (physically and with financial freedom) and whats best of all… doing it ALL from home so I can be home with my boys!!
Over the past almost 3 years, I have built over a 6 figure income, along with helping other coaches on my team become successful enough to be able to work from home and gain financial success as well!
It has been such a blessing and we now have been able to grow a team big enough to have our own training! As I went to Pittsburgh for all my training events, I have NOW been able to start my OWN training here in Chambersburg!
This past weekend was our very first Super Saturday!! Pretty exciting huh?!?! Not only am I getting to spend more quality time with my team and other teams around us from Team beachbody, but I am totally stepping out of my comfort zone and overcoming my fear of public speaking!!
Remember that time at the beginning I said about sitting in the audience just amazed by the coaches speaking thinking I could never be that successful coach?? Well, now I am not only speaking, but I am a host!!! GAH!! It was so surreal and such an incredible experience so now I am so excited to share with you all how it went!!!

Erin Traill was our first Success Story- Transformation Success Story. She shared all her struggles from post baby depression, hypothyroidism, and feeling helpless in her own body, to losing 75 pounds, gaining confidence, self esteem, and being a mom again for her kids all through the journey she has had with Beachbody!

2 Star Diamond coach Lauren Penrose was our Coach Success Story and shared how she went from post part depression and anxiety, and fear of public speaking, to overcoming these challenges and has become a successful coach building an amazing team of her own while working full time as a Physician Assistant!

Diamond coach Alisha Smith did training on Challenge groups and how they are our bread and butter to our success as coaches to help our challengers and change lives!!

Another one of our speakers came all the way from Kansas to speak on not only his transformation, helping others physically, but also helping others financially and getting out of debt! Something that many of us have and feel there is no way out!! He is a follower of Christ and definitely has impacted many lives!!

As I said, this journey has changed my life in so many ways!! My own fitness success, freedom, and friendships made along the way!! This leap of faith was scary for me since it was not something I even thought I had time for, and having NO experience with social media and literally just being afraid of the unknown.. I could have given every reason (or excuse) not to start, but it was the best leap of faith I have EVER taken!!!
