So the scoop is, Shakeology is a pretty amazing and healthy meal that has significantly changed my life in so many ways. My nutrition was terrible after having my second boy… I was craving all the crap that my body didn’t need and wasn’t helping me reach my goals. I would dive into a gallon of ice cream on a regular basis… and eat the WHOLE THING… no lie! I was feeling bloated because I was putting artificial sweeteners and chemicals in my body with all the crap I was eating. I didn’t have energy because I wasn’t fueling my body the right way. The list goes on and on, but I’m sure you can relate to some extent of how my lifestyle was.
I needed a change and doing it on my own wasn’t working… I started even working harder at the gym, taking whey protein from GNC, or wherever, but again, no matter what protein I was taking in post workout, I was hungry short after, and didn’t feel any better.
I was asked to join an opportunity to be in an online fitness group, which is where my journey with Beachbody started! It was a private group on Facebook doing home fitness workouts, eating clean, and adding Shakeology into my regimen, and having 1:1 support with a Beachbody coach.
Can I just tell you how these 4 things will impact your life and help you have such a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle? These 4 things are so easily looked over… people want the easy and cheap way out of things and when it comes to your health, that is one that I refuse to sacrifice! We only live once and I want this body to live a long life for myself and my family!
So lets get to it…. NUTRITION!!
It is key to your health and your fitness goals! You cannot workout a bad diet!! You can workout as much as you want, but if you eat like crap, it will show and your results will NOT change! That is where Shakeology has come into play for me! Since I struggled so bad with my nutrition, incorporating Shakeology into my daily regimen allowed my to get the dense nutrition I wasn’t getting from my every day food. It helped me let go of the ice cream, because this was my healthy alternative! I got rid of the bloating and cravings because I was finally fueling my body with the right food!
I have been adding Shakeology into my nutrition for the past 4.5 years and I have NO plans on changing this because the quality beats any protein shake, or meal I have ever had and the simplicity and convenience is vital to me as a busy mom!
Who would benefit from Vegan Shakeology?
Those people who are dairy and lactose free.
Vegan Shakeology is a proprietary blend of plant-based proteins, ideal for those who cannot tolerate or wish to avoid animal proteins, whey, or dairy. The vegan proteins from chia, flax, sacha inchi, quinoa, rice, pea, & oat deliver all 9 essential amino acids.
Many with certain sensitivities find that vegan protein is easier for the body to digest than animal protein. The vegan formulas are not fortified with additional vitamin and mineral isolates (as the whey-based Shakeology formulas are), making vegan Shakeology an excellent option for those looking to get their nutrients exclusively from whole foods without fortification.
If you are ready to kick off this summer right by living reaching your goals and are ready to commit to your fitness and nutrition, please fill out the form to be accepted into my next fitness challenge held online where you will get 1:1 mentoring from myself, along with tons of healthy mom/kid friendly recipes and help with meal planning!
If you are interested in getting in on the NEW VEGAN SHAKEOLOGY, please email me at email@example.com and in the subject, add “New Shakeology”.
Now that summer is coming to an end, it’s easier to go straight to that comfort food, holiday food, and even more, we can cover up our bodies with sweatpants and sweatshirts and not worry about what we look like!
It was always the easier way to cover up and go to the comfort food.. I mean, no one is going to see you anyways right!? No need for crop tops, short shorts, and bathing suits… WRONG!!! Guys, no matter how easy it is to just cover up, don’t you want to FEEL healthy and FEEL good???
It’s not about the physical look as much as I want to enforce the importance of having a healthy body, mind, and spirit!! In order to have this, having a healthy lifestyle is a must!!! The foods you eat will determine how you and your body feels! If you fee it junk, your body will feel like junk! If you eat fresh, whole foods, your body will feel amazing!
If you are not familiar with how to eat healthy, live a healthy lifestyle, or are struggling with getting on track with your nutrition and/or fitness, I would love to help you get started on our journey!
I started my own fitness journey wanting to lose my baby weight after my second child and since learning about clean eating and how to eat properly with exercise, my life has changed so much!! I lost a total of 40 pounds and am in the best shape of my life even before having kids!

Ok so I need to be honest here… living a healthy lifestyle is NOT always easy for me! My biggest struggles come when I’m emotional, stressed, and going through struggles.. yup, that has been me over the past week. I have fallen off big time, but thank goodness there is something called a new day and a new week to start fresh!! So I’m back at it, but I still want to share with you some ways that I do overcome my struggles with eating, especially at NIGHT!
#1. The first thing you can do is figure out WHAT is triggering your food cravings.
#2. Is there a certain TIME OF DAY that you are triggered more? Example for me is night time when I’m not as busy.
#3. How can you GET RID of those cravings other than completely avoiding what triggers?
Go workout (if it doesn’t keep you up all night)
Eat a healthy alternative
Go brush your teeth
Talk to a friend/family member to keep busy
Read a good book/listen to a good audio
So now lets go more in depth about healthy alternatives. I am sorry, but I feel that I need something in the evening and as long as it is healthy, I am right on track with my goals and where I want to be. One option I do very often is drinking Green Tea and have a rice cake!
Now, I do not always make my rice cakes like this, but I do get creative when I am really in need of a snack!
1 small layer of natural PB
light cool whip (thin layer)
1 tbsp soy free, nut free, and dairy free chocolate chips (from organic section in local grocery store)
unsweetened coconut to top it off (sprinkle)
If you can work hard for 21 days, your body will not physically need what it was craving.. in fact, you saw I just wrote WAS craving… Your body will NOT need the junk because it will be out of your system and it just takes 21 days to create new habits!! Let go of the cravings, and move forward with your goals!
A big part of my success comes from having support and extra motivation in my fitness challenge groups that I hold online (in a closed group on Facebook). We do daily motivation, tips, recipes, and help with meal planning! In our group, we incorporate a fitness program of your choice from Beachbody, along with adding Shakeology into our regimen to help us get the proper nutrition.
If you are interested in taking your fitness to the next level, please fill out the application below for a spot in my 30 day fitness challenge.
*You do not have to be in great shape or at your goal.. This is to help you create a lifestyle that you can live off of forever. To help you tone, lose weight, or even build muscle.
Its so easy to let go of those health and fitness goals when the winter is here. We are easily covered up by those big sweaters and sweatpants and no one sees us in bathing suits at the beach. But now that spring is here and summer is right around the corner, those bathing suits are coming out! Do you want to have to be covered up by shorts and pants or do you want to feel confident and sexy in your 2 piece or cute little summer outfits?
I don’t know about you, but I’m game for feeling good about myself! Nothing is sexier than a confident woman! When you do not like the way you look, your face will show it, and everyone (including your kids) will sense that insecurity!
It’s time to set some goals, make an action plan, and start taking ACTION!!
When I say set goals, I mean think of your long-term goals and short-term. Write them down on paper and put a date on it! When you do this, you are giving your goals a sense of urgency! Even better, when you set your goals, along with putting it on paper, put in on your phone or somewhere you will always see it! The more you see it, the more you think about it. The more you think about it, the more likely you will stay accountable!
When making an action plan, I mean schedule out what you will do to reach those fitness goals! For me, I have a schedule of my workouts, I make a meal plan, and put everything in stone of what I WILL be doing to reach my goals… or should I say on paper?!
Taking action is sometimes the hardest to do! Like people say, it’s easier said than done! BUT, when you do the first 2 steps, your more likely to stick to your plan and make it happen! How do I take action?
I set an alarm and wake up at 6 am every morning… well almost!! Im human, not perfect lol! But I do get an A for effort!!
I meal prep every Sunday so I am all set for success!! I take about 3 hours total on Sundays after church to get my groceries, make my meal plan on www.picmonkey.com, and start cooking away!! I love listening to personal growth and development every single day also to help me stay motivated and excited about my fitness journey! Some podcasts I listen to are Chalene Johnson “The Chalene Show” and MWF Motivation! Seriously, before you knock it, go give it a shot! It will change your life!!
Positive self-talk!! Yes, you heard me!! Its unfortunately so normal to talk ourselves down, and talk ourselves out of doing things that we want to accomplish! Why I do my personal development and growth is because it has helped me completely change my mindset! It helps me remember to give myself positive talk and celebrate all my small successes along the way! Each morning, I will look in the mirror and tell myself what I AM… I am confident, I am happy, I am successful, I WILL conquer today.. and I will tell myself what I will achieve!! It may sound crazy, but your results will come from what you tell yourself! If you talk yourself down, you will become negative.. if you talk yourself up, you will find yourself being successful!!
So lets start NOW!! Now no better time will come! If you wait for the perfect time, you will be waiting a very long time!!
I am excited to start my new 60 day challenge with Hammer and Chisel where I will be incorporating cardio, weight training, and clean eating! I am a HUGE gym fan, so this home fitness program is a perfect way for me to have that similar atmosphere and workout with amazing results!! With my clean eating, you will notice in my meal plan below for this week, I drink Shakeologyevery day religiously and I absolutely love the nutrition benefits I receive! Its one thing to get a protein shake in.. it’s another to have a drink full of dense superfood nutrition! People do not realize how our crops are grown with our soil that is not dense and full of nutrients as it was 30 years ago. I understand some people like “whole foods”, but Shakeologywas specifically made for those who DO care about how their veggies and crops are grown as they are picked from areas all over the world where the soil is best for growing crops!
Meal Prep Sesh!
So there you have it! Tomorrow starts my 60 days of my Spring Cleaning with Fitness and I would love nothing more than for you to join me on this journey!
If you have goals to reach: Losing 5-30 pounds, toning, building muscle, whatever it may be, I would love to help you along your journey to success! I am so excited to share this amazing transformation that Jackie has had throughout her fitness journey with Beachbody!! If you are not familiar with “BEACHBODY”, this is a company that is about working hard to live a healthy fulfilling life! We take away the “diet mode” and add simple things you can do DAILY to give yourself the life and body you deserve! We focus on clean eating, exercise, and support!! Our programs are all able to be done at home and whats incredible about this whole journey is there is a program out there for EVERYONE! No matter what level of fitness you are, preference of workout, limitations of exercise, or how much time you can dedicate daily to your workouts, we have something for you!
I fell in love when I first started my own journey after having my second boy!! I was unhappy, insecure, and depressed with my body!! I took the leap, and now since being able to share my success, others have been able to join me on this incredible journey!
Here is what Jackie had to say about her journey so far with Beachbody:
“I played sports in middle school, and cheered in high school & college. Tried running for a bit after college even did a half marathon a few years ago. So I’ve always enjoyed being active but I never stick with anything long term. If go to the gym here and there.
Most recently the past four years I would go to the gym and just walk on the inclined treadmills and read a book lol. Do a little ab working out and that’s it. Again I wouldn’t stick with it longer than a couple of months at the most. Then after this summer I started really not being happy at all with how I looked and how I felt. It wasn’t affecting my relationship but it was affecting me in our relationship if that makes sense. I just wasn’t as happy.
I started seeing a few friends posting about them working on their own journey with Beachbody programs at home, I finally asked one of them about what she was doing. I signed up the next day with the 21 Day Fix, but my friend sent me PiYoto start with until my program came. I loved everything about PiYo and Shakeology!!!
Now I’m doing Hammer & Chisel and I freaking love it so much!!! I feel amazing!!!! PiYo really helped me to slim and get my flexibility back. With Hammer & Chisel, I see every result! It’s an amazing program! The whole system with Shakeology and the programs is perfect for me. I’ve stuck with everything for 3 months straight and it’s the longest I have done that I can remember.
The challenge group and accountability of having a coach really push me! Sometimes I need that push to set my good goals to make them great goals. I’m more confident in everything that I do from work, to my workouts, & absolutely in myself in my relationship with my boyfriend, and day to day I’m so much happier too!!
So as you see, this girl is on FIYA!!!! It’s so amazing what these programs and challenge groups can do for you! It’s hard working on your journey alone, not having support with you all the time. But being in the challenge groups and having someone DAILY to push you just makes it all worthwhile! It gives you that push to keep moving forward every day to get closer to those ultimate goals you set!
My boys are my WHY for living this healthy lifestyle!
If you would like a chance to have 1:1 support, accountability, motivation, and tips to help you reach your fitness and health goals, please fill out the application below for a spot in my next 30 day private online fitness challenge/support group! This is your chance to get everything Jackie and I both had experience with to help us along our own journey to success!!
3 Years ago, my second son was born, I was unhappy, depressed, and disgusted with how I looked and felt. I needed a change and the same old routine of jumping from diet to diet wasn’t cutting it. It was causing me to stress more, and it became more of a yo-yo diet which was NOT healthy for me!
As I was looking for a change, I heard about Beachbody programs, which were home fitness programs that came with a schedule to follow AND a nutrition plan… and then Shakeology. I was slightly skeptical because I wasn’t sure this is another FAD diet that I was falling into. As I did my research and saw the amazing results my cousin had and many other friends and family I knew were doing the same thing.
I decided to trust in the process and take a leap of faith. It was scary, yes… but what would be scarier, taking a leap and getting results, or not taking the leap and staying in the same unhappy place your in looking for a way out?! I have to be completely real and up front because I was in that same situation! Its easy to take the easy way out… to skip out on your goals because maybe your busy and use to putting everyone else first… but think about this.. those people you love and put first.. how will you take care of them the best way if you cannot take care of yourself? People follow the lead. They follow what you do! So if you take care of yourself, then you as a role model will show others how its done and will join you and follow the lead!
As I was reaching my goals little by little, I was so excited to share my success with others and show that it IS possible to reach your goals no matter how busy you are, what obstacles are in your way, and no matter how much you want to lose or gain!
The biggest part that contributed to my success with my health and fitness goals was being in a challenge group/support group. I’ve had personal trainers.. I was a personal trainer. I know the time spent with trainers helps a lot… but having them every single day is not realistic. Being in the challenge groups gave me the ability to have a coach and mentor help me DAILY throughout the day with support, motivation, accountability, but also gave me tips on healthy eating and exercise, meal planning and meal prepping for the week, and I also was not only working with my coach, but the group of people doing the same thing I was doing! I found extra support, friendships, and having surround myself with others with similar goals pushed me harder, further when I wanted to give up, and gave me exactly what I needed to reach my goals!
Since being in challenge groups myself, I decided as I was getting the results I wanted, to give this opportunity to others as well! Having experience as a trainer, education on nutrition, experience now as a figure competitor, I can give advice, support, knowledge and motivation to others so they experience the success as well!
I am now accepting new challengers to take a leap of faith with me and allow me to help 1:1 with daily support, motivation, and accountability and reaching some BIG GOALS together as a team!
Please fill out the application below and we will talk more about starting your new journey!
Although I may have checked out this week from posting here, I have not checked out with my fitness and health journey! I am getting ready to start up week 4 with Hammer and Chisel and Im pretty pumped!!! I have come a long way from week 1 to week 3!!
5 pound weight loss, but lots of other changes other than the scale!!
So just to back track a little, I got all my workouts in, but there was a day I missed so the next day I got A double in!! Food has been great other than a couple cheats maybe 1 or 2 more than anticipated, but hey, Im making progress over Christmas so I’m doing something right!!
One thing I am so proud of is that my boys are showing that my healthy habits are showing through my kids and the choices they pick for lunch for school!! Look how awesome this is!! One proud mama right here!
Along with packing healthy snacks for my boys, I also do some meal prepping for myself which is how I plan myself for success on my fitness journey! Sundays or Mondays I will make my meal plan and prep my food so its all ready for the week! Today was my day to prep and get ready for WEEK 4!
I do 1 cheat meal a week just to give myself a little freedom. If I feel like I am tied down to certain food without a little something, my body will go crazy and I will binge.. that is just me. I know my body and learned to listen to my body!
Now, for my workout routine for the week:
Monday: Chisel Balance
Tuesday: Max Hammer Power
Wed: Chisel Cardio and 15 min Glutes
Thurs: OFF DAY
Friday: Hammer build up and 15 min Leg Hammer
Sat: Chisel Agility
Sun: Hammer Power and 10 min Ab Hammer
Now, for my mental game plan.. not just for the day, but for the week:
Yea, you got it.. this is not just about eating and working out.. this is about being mentally ready and prepared also!! We all have “things” in our lives that cause us stress and sometimes we let that stress really get the best of us to the point that we totally end up falling off in every aspect.
There is 1 thing that we can do to keep ourselves together no matter what situation you are in… HAVE FAITH in the process!!
Have faith, and also keep in mind WHY you are here! WHY are you on this journey to begin with?
If you keep a strong enough WHY throughout your journey, your journey will never stop, because that reason will be strong enough to keep you going through anything!! My WHY and reason for going through my health and fitness journey is not just myself, but also my boys!! To help them see what is going to keep them healthy. strong, and live a long fulfilling life!
Aren’t they just amazing?!?
So, now that we made it through Christmas, its time to get ready for a New Year!!! Time to get our mindset right, make some goals: Physical, mental, spiritual, Financial, Career, etc!!!
The more goals you can set for yourself and write them down, the more you are making them a priority!! Also, don’t forget to put a deadline on those goals to give them a sense of urgency!!! Give reasons to look at them daily and do small things every day to get yourself closer to reaching them!!
If you are making goals for your own physical and health journey and you are ready to commit to a healthy lifestyle, I am hosting a 30 Day New Years Fit Resolution Challenge that will provide you with daily tips, recipes, support, motivation, and a chance to get in the best shape of your life! More importantly, my goal is for you to NOT be like the 80% of the population that stops after 3 weeks, this is to help you form good habits so you can turn this journey into a lifestyle of your own and to share with your friends and family!
Please fill out the application below for a spot in my Jan 4th Fitness Group! Spaces are limited and I am only accepting NEW challengers who do NOT already have a Beachbody coach working with them!
Ok so when people say.. “Whats the best way to lose weight?”… “What is your secret to staying healthy?”
I hate to break it to you but I have NO secret… it is something so simple that people literally will fall out of their chair when they read…. NUTRITION!!!
Nutrition is 70-80% of your results.. your food you put in your mouth will either make you or break you. Coming from my experience as a binge eater and emotional eater, I know you can exercise as much as you want, but if you do not eat proper nutrition, you are doing yourself no justice… Almost like your wasting your time working out. Yes, its true! I’m sorry if you felt you can workout as much as you want and eat whatever you want, but that will NOT keep you healthy and help you lose weight!
For example, those who eat clean during the week, and take off the WEEKEND…. that is 2 days out of 7 that you are throwing away! Not good!
My thing is 1 cheat meal a week.. honestly that cheat meal can be anything.. eat out then ice cream, but you better be getting right back on track and no more than 1 meal a week if you are serious about your results!
Ok.. point of this post was to share an amazing recipe that my fellow coach gave me!! It’s absolutely amazing!! Ok so hear you go…
Peach Protein Pancakes!!
2 Medium size Fresh Peaches (skinned and cut into small squares)
6 Egg whites
1/2 cup Oats
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp organic Agave Nectar
Heat stove on medium
Mix all ingredients together in mixing bowl
Pour mixture in pan and let cook for 5 min
Flip and cook other side for 3 minutes
Let cool and top off with Agave Nectar
If you would like more tips, healthy recipes, daily support and accountability to help you reach your ultimate health and fitness goals, please fill out the application below for a spot in my next 30 day fitness challenge!
As I am going through my journey as an NPC competitor, I am finally ready to come out and share my journey struggles in hope to help a few people!
There are so many people out there who struggle with emotional eating and binge eating, but not many fitness coaches who admit that they struggle themselves. As scary as it is for me to come out and talk about my struggles, I feel it is necessary so people realize that they are not alone with this struggle and it is totally possible to reach your goals!
I am 10 days out from my second NPC Figure Competition and no where near where I was for my first show. I am about 4 weeks behind where I should be, BUT that is not going to stop me from finishing and doing this show. I am not going out there to take 1st this time, but I am proud to push through for more experience and keep practicing to improve for my next show!
So here I go. For the past 10 years, I have struggled majorly with emotional eating and binge eating. Literally every emotion I have, I eat. Not just snacking, like binging to the point that I cant breathe because my stomach is so full and extended. I have struggled a lot and as I go to counseling and talk about it, I have found that my past has a lot to do with it. Some things I went through that I could not control, I feel like this is something I went to when I didn’t have that control. It has continued on since then. And you know what? I am ok to talk about this, because once we find WHY we do this, we can pray about it and ask God to help us get through these situations and find other things to pre occupy us to prevent more binging and eating, or minimize the amount of these bad addictions.
There is no way around it, food is a drug… its a bad drug. Why I struggle the most is because unlike drugs that you can get away from, I am surrounded 24/7 with food. I have to eat to survive. So now it is up to me to make those right choices and become a stronger person!
This is one reason I became a coach. I wanted to break my addictions. As I have said many times, I became a coach not only to help others, but help MYSELF with my own accountability. I hope that does not sound selfish, but I know if I don’t break this habit, my kids will see it, and that is NOT what I want them to get off of me as their mommy.
As I am going through my own fitness journey and helping others, I am slowly coming out about my struggles in my challenge groups. It is scary because I am the coach that should be “perfect”, but I do not believe their is one “perfect” person. I am ready to show I am human and I make mistakes.
Yes, the majority of the time I do eat clean, but when I binge and emotional eat, its uncontrolled. As you listen to my video, you will see how bad it gets. I feel like I need a babysitter beside me to make sure I do not go off the deep end. What is pathetic is as I am prepping for my show, I am not binging on things I even would normally eat. I am eating Cheerios (hence my picture above), cheese-its, and natural Peanut Butter. I am not eating out, or eating fried food. So you would think it wouldn’t affect my results that bad. I probably have done this once a week during my prep.
As a fitness coach, I know I may be judged for this, but it is what it is and I am human. We all have habits, and issues, but I am here to share my experience and my struggles to hopefully help others who need help as well. As I said, I became a coach to help people find an alternative to get away from the emotional eating, the binge eating and pre occupy themselves in a different way so they are able to get those results that they want.
I want to show everyone, that although this big unhealthy habit is hard to overcome, it is not going to turn you into a failure or stop you from reaching your goals unless you let it and give up. I continue every day working hard on myself and my struggles….
I go counseling to talk about my struggles, and I am not afraid to say this. There is nothing wrong a little tune up with your faith and emotions to make yourself a better person! I also write in a journal. This is my place to write when I am struggling… It is a place to get out my feelings and emotions without taking it out on the food. It has helped tremendously in so many ways.
I hope this has touched someone and helped them realize they are NOT alone and if you need that extra support and accountability through your struggles, join me in my fitness challenge group and we can help each other reach our goals!
If you would like a spot in my next fitness challenge, please fill out the application below and I will respond within 24 hours of receiving your application.
Im 4 weeks out from my show and my vinegar obsession is still here! Im finishing my second bottle here and its been 2 weeks! YIKES!! You can say my house smells a lot like vinegar lol! My kids keep saying, “Eww, mommy… what’s that smell?”
HAHA Oh just mommy and her vinegar!!
Well, since having my cravings for vinegar, I thought I might as well add a new recipe for you all!! I have been eating straight chicken for a while, and tons of asparagus, so I put it all together!! Simple, easy, but yummy!!!
I turned my vinegar into a little glaze to pour on top of my chicken and asparagus!!
Grilled Chicken and Asparagus with Vinegar Glaze:
1 lb Grilled chicken breasts
1 stalk asparagus
2 tbsp minced garlic
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
Cook chicken breasts on grill until done to your liking and cut into 1/2 inch bites.
Put asparagus on baking sheet
Add 1 Tbsp of minced garlic and 1 Tbsp vinegar to asparagus and bake in oven at 375 degrees F for 14 min (make sure you mix garlic and vinegar so it is throughout asparagus).
With a small pan, add remaining vinegar and garlic and cook at medium high until boil. Once done boiling, keep on low until asparagus is done cooking.
Once asparagus is done cooking, cut into pieces.
Add chicken and asparagus with remaining mixture to pan of vinegar and garlic.
