Yesterday marked the last workout of Phase 1 with 80 Day Obsession with Autumn Calabrese and I must say, there are so many things I love about this program!
I love that it is more like the workouts I would do at a gym, except Autumn thinks of exercises that I wouldn’t have thought of to really focus in on your booty, arms, and abs!
Being 12 weeks post-partum, I was not sure how my body would handle this program, but each and every day I am feeling stronger and stronger!
Although at first I was not too excited about my results, I thought more about it and realized I have made a lot of changes! 3 lbs and 4 inches down for good, but the energy I am gaining and how strong I feel, and the fact that I’m finally getting consistent with my workouts and nutrition is my biggest victory so far!
These workouts are by no means easy, in fact, they have been extremely challenging for me and my body is sore every day, but it hurts so good! Each day, my post workout meal consists of our Beachbody Performance Recover, along with Shakeology which is full of superfoods! This shake was orange recover and vegan vanilla Shakeology which is more plant based protein, rather than form animal protein! It helps so much with muscle recovery!
The timed nutrition has been a little bit of a struggle since I’m still working on my time management, but I’m excited that I am making healthier choices and my meals have been fun and not boring, which makes it easier to keep going!

One meal I made this week was a healthier version of nachos. If you know me, you know I am slightly obsessed with loaded nachos! So I took some bell peppers, cooked up chicken in the Instant pot for 10 minutes with chicken broth and chili seasoning, and shredded the chicken over the peppers with black beans and baked it for 10 minutes! Topped with a little shredded cheese , taco sauce, and plain greek yogurt as my sour cream, I got myself a good meal!

I am so excited to share my fitness journey, not just for my own accountability, but also to show other mamas what is possible!! I know as mommas, we are busy, but also we are trying to adjust to this new lifestyle and caring for a new baby, but it is so important to take care of us too! It is crazy to think how much better we feel when we give our bodies a little tender, loving, care!

So I am halfway through my 30 day transformation with the home fitness program Hammer and Chisel! I love this program because you get the cardio, and the weight training!! You get a feel for the cross-fit type workouts, and the hard core lifting! I love it!!
So my first week, I will say I did not do so well with my nutrition. I give myself a little leeway and allow 1 cheat meal a week. I actually had about 5 that week! YIKES!!! But this past week I turned it up a notch and really dialed in on my nutrition! I had 2 Shakeology superfood shakes a day about 2 of the days, just to help me when I was craving! Now that Im through this week and have been clean, I am not even craving anything! That just comes to show your body will adjust to whatever you feed it!
So here they are!! I feel like my legs and arms didn’t change a whole lot, but I will say my abdomen has tightened for sure and the love handles are going away again!! Thats always my worst area!! I think most women can agree with me!
Here are some of my meals I had for this week:
Meal prep was a success!! We got lean meats like Tilapia, Turkey meatballs, egg whites, asparagus, green beans, man cakes, greek yogurt and fresh fruit, and Shakeology of course!!
Ok this last picture I have up was my new recipe I made from seeing sweet potato toast.. putting the sweet potato in toast did not work for me, so I made my own version with my own toppings!! I must say it turned out pretty darn amazing!!! Click image for recipe!!!

Last night my friend came over and she rocked out Hammer and Chisel for her first time!! Whitney is just starting her fitness journey so I am so darn thrilled for her!!! She has been kicking major butt since starting!!!

As a pretty in shape momma and fitness competitor, I have a good idea of what my body needs to maintain and even prep for show time…. but I think its time to change things up a bit and see what else my body is capable of doing! As I prepped for my last 2 Figure competitions, I incorporated BODY BEAST, 21 DAY FIX EXTREME, and INSANITY MAX 30into my regimen, along with clean eating and drinkingSHAKEOLOGY once a day to get my dense nutrition that my body is not getting from our typical every day foods.
I know people think eating our fruits and veggies are just enough, but if you think about how our crops are grown, our soil is not up to par! We lack vitamins and minerals, and when I am drinking Shakeology, it gives me everything, and more! The nutrients are picked from other countries where the soil is best for crops to grow, along with more superfoods, digestive enzymes, pre and pro-biotics, and more! I know if I get too in depth, I may loose people, so Ill keep it simple saying this keeps me up to par with my nutrients and health!
So back to workouts… I always do a variety and its hard to say I have a complete transformation of one fitness program, but I want to not only see what one program can do for me, but also show others what they can do by following a specific program as well!! I love the gym, but sometimes I just can not go.. The daycare at the YMCA is only during a certain time, which is when I’m with my kids or after they are done with daycare when its dinner time… So instead of messing up everyone’s schedule, I can easily fit my home workouts in my schedule, save time, money, and STILL get amazing results!
So it’s time to focus in one 1 program…. My new focus…. BODY BEAST! Yup, I’m going straight up BEAST MODE on ya!! 🙂
What better day to start than Labor Day right?!
Honestly, the parties and get togethers do not bother me.. I have come to realize with my emotional eating and binging that those types of food does not help me get to my goal.. and yesterday my neighbor had a party and I couldn’t even eat all the food because it does not taste as good as it use too! SCORE for me!!!
There are so many reasons for me to start this journey..
I want this for me.. I have a lot of stress and instead of eating my emotions, and doing nothing about it, its time to relieve my stress in a healthier manner! We always go to the easy route and unfortunately, its only temporary and then will make it even worse because your not happy emotionally or physically. So time to have a fresh start!!
Meal Plan Week 1:
Ok so the first half of the day, I’m literally shoving food in my face lol.. healthy food at least!! So my calorie range is around 2000. This is going to be a struggle, but I WILL make it work! It’s scary to see all those calories when I am not use to intaking that much, but I have faith in the program and know if I follow it correctly, amazing results are coming my way!!! Lets do it!!

Oh wow did I totally FORGET to share my results of my first part of training for my next NPC Figure Competition!! I know I posted pics from week 14- to 10 weeks out, but never showed from start to finish INSANITY MAX 30 and BODY BEAST!
INSANITY MAX 30 is the home fitness program I used as my daily morning cardio. I love being able to wake up first thing in the morning and get a good start to my day and burn some calories! Nothing better than tricking your body right away so you don’t hit that plateau!
BODY BEAST is the home workout program I am using to build muscle. Since I am spending less time at the gym, I MUST still get in my weight training, so this is what I use 5 days a week to train for my show!

YUP, I’ll take that!!! Instead of focusing on those numbers on the scale, focus on the non-scale successes, which is exactly what I do in my fitness challenge groups!! If I didn’t take pictures and measurements, I would have been pretty disappointed by looking at the scale… Less than 1 lb a week…. BUT now that I have my pictures and measurements, I’m pretty excited about these results!! I am building muscle like I wanted, I am losing inches, and that is exactly what I needed for my Figure Competition!!
WHAT HAS HELPED ME THE MOST WITH MY RESULTS?!
I feel nutrition is 80% of your results, no matter what you are going for. It is important to meet your daily caloric intake, but also the right calories! I do include my health shake SHAKEOLOGY into my regimen 2 times a day because it is 1 meal I know I am getting the best nutrition possible! It is not always about the calories, its about the nutrients you are taking in… having over 70 natural ingredients, your super foods, antioxidants, digestive enzymes, and more, my Shakeology has helped me stay on track but also helps regulate me, decreases my cravings, bloating, and helps with my energy level! A bonus is I am losing the artificial sweeteners and chemicals that are in majority of your regular every day foods and meals!
I am now 7 weeks out from my show and I am continuing to use BODY BEAST as my weight training, and now using 21 DAY FIX EXTREME as my morning workout!! Time to keep moving forward, and kick butt these last 7 weeks!!! My suit is shipped out and on its way, I am signed up for my show, and will be making my appointment for tanning and hair and makeup!! So many people today are lacking motivation, and commitment to start their healthy lifestyle? WHY?! Because we are busy, and give time and money as our two biggest excuses not to follow through. We do not have the support we need daily to stay strong during those tough times, but I am so happy to say there IS hope!!
Going through my own journey, I had a tough time finding something that worked for me… something I could stick with. I was desperate and after the FAD diets were not keeping my weight off and not keeping me happy, I was ready to give up. Then, something amazing came into my life. My cousin who is a Beachbody coach asked me to join her fitness challenge group… I thought, “Oh here we go, another diet.” Once I looked into it more and saw the results she got from doing the same, I decided to give it a shot… I mean whats the worst that can happen?? I would end up in the same unhappy spot I started in.
After 30 days, I was amazed at how a 40 minute workout program (INSANITY) and drinking a health shake full of your superfood dense nutrition such as SHAKEOLOGY, and clean eating can really change your life that quick! I realized between all of these factors I added into my life, and having the support and daily accountability is what made all the difference! I’ve tried reaching my goals, and it was not fun… but having others with the same or similar goals as you working towards the same thing makes it so much more fun and helpful!
Now I’ve been able to continue my journey and have reached my ultimate goals! I’ve learned it’s not all about the scale, but how you feel inside and all the other non scale successes (your clothes fitting, inches lost, bloating gone, healthy cravings, healthy skin, confidence, and energy).
Can I get a #throwbackthursday?!?! Seriously, as I was at the gym today, I was thinking back to the beginning of my fitness journey.. Its pretty amazing in how my life has changed since Beachbody became a part of my life… The first picture was day 1 of the very first challenge group I started… I did Insanity and drank Shakeology and incorporated clean eating… As the days went on, I found myself reaching goals I never thought I could achieve… I was feeling better than I ever thought I could feel… I continued moving from program to program and challenge group to challenge group and even when I signed up as a Beachbody coach right in the middle of my journey, I participated in my challenge groups to stay accountable of my own goals. Although I reached my goals, Im always working on my journey. I will continue working every day to keep myself happy, confident, and healthy! The middle picture was the day I committed to prep for my first NPC Figure Competition… I am pretty proud to say I got myself here by ONLY using Beach body programs- Insanity, P90X, P90X3, 21 Day Fix, T25, Turbo Fire, and Shakeology religiously to give me the proper nutrition I needed.. and if you want to know for sure, YES, it makes a difference! Nutrition is 80% of your weight loss, and what I was eating was not giving me half the nutrients and superfood I was intaking with the regular fruits, veggies, and protein I ate. This lifestyle with Beachbody has totally given me what I needed to begin my journey as a figure competitor. Today, the last picture was taken as I was practicing my posing and I am getting so nervous, but yet so excited at the same time to get on that stage! I know I am giving it 110% and although I have had a little too many servings of whipped cream and PB2, I know I have made up with my workouts!! As I incorporated weight training into my lifestyle, I built up my deltoids, back, and quads and now am starting to feel pretty good about how far I have come! I still to this day and incorporating Shakeology once daily with my competition diet, and I use 1 Beachbody program DAILY as my cardio- T25, 21 DAY fix cardio or plyo, Insanity, and Body Beast. It feels good to feel this sense of accomplishment… Im not in no way, shape, or form bragging or boasting, I am simply looking back and reflecting on how unhappy and uncomfortable I was in my own skin, and now am so proud to say after giving it 100% with exercise and nutrition and believing in myself, I have made a healthy lifestyle for myself, but also have made an impact on my children!! This is what its all about!!

So Saturday, I had an awesome opportunity to take my challenger to the grocery store and help her pick some healthy foods and prep her meals!! Yes, this is something I do for fun, but also when she told me she fell off my challenge group and couldn’t do it because she didnt know where to start with meal prepping and picking the right foods, I had to step in!! There is NO reason why I couldn’t help her get things going!! Thank goodness, she lives close by that I was able to do this!! It was our first time meeting, so it was awesome that I was able to connect with my challenger more than just on face book in our secret group!!
So Saturday afternoon, we booked 3 hours together to go food shopping and prep her meals. Since she used my recipes from my website, I could easily help her since I make them all the time!! Amanda is participating in my challenge group with using 21 DAY FIX and using SHAKEOLOGY, our health shake meal replacements, which I will talk more about!!

It literally took about 1 hour to get the food prepared and now all she needs to do is throw everything in the oven and walk away!! Now she has all her meals for the week!!! She is also incorporating SHAKEOLOGY as a breakfast every day to give her the nutrients and super foods that she is not getting with her every day food… By adding in her Shakeology, we are helping her increase her energy level, decrease bloating and cravings, and improve her overall heart health and digestion within 2 weeks!! This is exactly how I reached my health and fitness goals, so its time to pay it forward!!!

As I have been into fitness most of my life, being involved in gymnastics, dance as a small child, basketball, volleyball, track and cheerleading during my middle and high school years, and dance team in college, it has always been a special place in my heart! I worked out at the gym since my senior year of high school and became a personal trainer after I graduated, along with doing my first fitness competition when I was 18 years old. I was definitely not prepared the way I should have been and did not have a trainer who was experience in fitness competitions, but I didn’t do it to win either. I was so proud of myself for showing up!
After my fitness competition, I was a yo-yo dieter, worked out at the gym all the time, but varied 10 pounds ALL THE TIME! I never was consistent, never really reached a fitness goal (although I tried many times) and I think the reasoning was because I never had a big WHY behind reaching that goal. I would work out and come home and eat a jar of peanut butter and yes, a box of oreos, but I needed to dip every one in milk! I would put maybe 5 in at a time, wait til they got soggy, and dug them out with a spoon and shoved them in my mouth without a worry about the consequences.
Then I got married, nothing really changed, except getting pregnant. I continued working out at the gym here and there, but my eating habits then made a turn for the worse! I was not a healthy pregnant… Not an “all belly” type of pregnant.. Arbys and ice cream were my best friends! My weight sky rocketed and I was up to 191 when I delivered. 60 pound weight gain with my first! After I had Chase, I got back into working out at the gym, and it took a good 4 months to get back to my weight. Did I not get the memo that nothing looked the same!?!? Seriously, I was the same weight, with a different body! I continued doing my thing, working out here and there, binge eating and then back on track… never had accountability, so there was nothing to keep me on track. I had no will power. Then I got pregnant yet again! BABY #2… I wanted to have a different pregnancy.. a healthy one. Still, without support and accountability, I gained 50 pounds and not a healthy 50 pounds. This was me before delivering my second son.
WHAT CHANGED?! My life!! HOW?!?! I found hope! 6 weeks after having my second son, I was so disgusted with myself that I couldn’t even bare to look in the mirror. I was embarrassed for my husband to see my naked. It put a damper on our relationship. I decided to take a leap of faith and begin INSANITY, a beachbody program that is a home workout program that includes a nutrition guide to follow and I also started incorporating SHAKEOLOGY, which is Beachbody’s health shake meal replacement full of high quality nutrients. I was skeptical and thought it was too expensive, but after talking to my husband and figuring out the math, I said “4$ a day is cheaper than my binging on fast food and even starbucks alone… Heck I pay 4$ for my chicken salad that does not even have all the dense nutrition.” So I gave it a shot. I needed desperate help with my nutrition. I had so many bad habits I needed to get rid of, I needed my energy back for my kids, and I was so afraid of having them grow up thinking they had an unhealthy mommy that had no energy to play and keep up! My kids became my WHY to start my journey! I joined a 60 challenge group that gave me daily support and accountability, also providing me with tips and recipes to keep me going!
Having Insanity at home was the best thing for me! I didn’t have to leave my kids, I did my workouts while the kids were sleeping, or content, and I had a meal that I didn’t have to worry about and I knew I was feeding my body with natural, whole foods!
Within weeks, the results started to come! I was gaining energy, my cravings were going away, and my digestion was improving! Months came and I was toning and losing weight! After Insanity, I couldn’t stop there. I moved onto another fitness program called TURBO FIRE! I loved dancing all my life, and this high impact cardio was exactly what I needed to move forward with my goals! This program by Chalene Johnson is so motivating and she is so inspiring and keeps me pushing even though I wanted to give up! It was like having a personal trainer in my house!! After losing 25 lbs and 25 inches, I decided that having the accountability and motivation in my challenge group I was participating in was exactly what I wanted to give others! I loved the way I felt and I wanted to share this with as many people as possible!
I became a beachbody coach! I have been continuing my fitness journey with my home DVD programs, eating clean, and drinking Shakeology daily! I have never felt better! I am running challenge groups every month to help others reach their goals and find happiness and confidence, and also looking for others who have that same passion for fitness who want to help others on their journey but also earn financial freedom! Nothing feels better than building a career that I can do from home, be with my kids, and be a great role model for them all at the same time!
I have reached all my fitness goals through my beachbody programs, clean eating, and shakeology.
Now its time to take a step forward!
I decided to go for my first NPC Figure Competition!
I have gotten to this point without the gym, lifting heavy weights… Its been done in my basement and living room surrounded by my children seeing what I do!
Now, I have been training for 9 weeks for my show, slowly working my way into the gym scene. Lifting 4 days a week, and cardio two times a day. One cardio consists of my beachbody programs. I have donePiYO, T25, and also BODY BEAST! Today I did Body Beast cardio, and will also be doing the workouts! Today is shoulder day!! So excited to change it up! Going to the gym has been difficult for me since I have my kids at home with me and I hate taking that extra time away! My workouts are 30 minutes long and they get the job done!

I am getting a lot done at home! I am reaching my goals, and so excited! My eating has been better than before, so I am getting there! Next week, you WILL see improvement! My nutrition I feel was holding me back.. I think when I know Im not allowed something, it makes me want it more, if that makes any sense?!?! Yea, Im crazy!!
Thanks to my challenge groups, my challengers and fellow coaches have kept me on track and motivated to continue!! Also everyone else with the messages!! They are definitely helping now! I see why I run the challenge groups! There is nothing better than having support and accountability 24/7!!

I began my transformation 4 months ago. I was overweight and just really not comfortable in my own skin. I was tired all the time and had absoulutely no energy. I could barely keep up with work and taking care of my 5 month old baby and 2 other children. I couldn’t even stand to look in the mirror at myself let alone let my husband look at me. I finally decided that something had to be done now! I did not want my 3 wonderful children to look at their mother and see how unhealthy I was. I started drinking SHAKEOLOGY everyday and joined a challenge group doing the 21 DAY FIX PROGRAM. In those 21 days I noticied a significant increase in my energy level and found that I was feeling happier. I lost 9 lbs and 12 inches my first round! I continued with another round and lost even more! I love that I now crave healthy foods and learned portion control and clean eating. Currently I am doing TURBO FIREand just started including PiYO. I have not reached my ultimate goal weight and fitness level yet but I am still working on it everyday becoming healthier. My whole outlook on life has changed and I am now not so embarrased by the way I look and feel! My short term goals have gotten me a little more than half way to mmy ultimate goal and I have lost 28 lbs and 35 inches! I am so excited to continue this journey for myself and be able to help others on their journey also!
I am so proud of Crystal, and can notice a huge difference in her confidence alone! Seeing transformations like hers is what keeps me going and waking up every day excited to work!
